“I stopped here the other day on a whim, and I was very impressed. I got the Bab’s Fries, which are fries topped with cut up chicken and their house “Baba’s Sauce.” The fries were good quality, the chicken was very flavorful- I got the no heat cause it was already close to 100° outside and I didn’t need any more heat that day (lol), and I was expecting the chicken may not be heavily seasoned without the hot chicken seasoning but I was wrong! The chicken tasted like it had been marinated and seasoned, and the exterior coating was top notch! I’ve had Asad’s too- which is also good but I think this is much better and much more flavorful! The Baba’s Sauce was also very tasty! I will definitely be back to try more! Glad I made a last second decision to give this spot a try!“

YO ! When I tell you this is HANDS DOWN the best , MOST tastiest wings I've ever had the pleasure of devouring. I mean it FAM !!!!! I was in the area for work and when I saw pics of their wings I knew I had to try it. I don't know how they cook and flavor the chicken before saucing it but AYO lemme tell you , they on to something here ! Definitely made with so much passion and love.
I got the Garlic Butter Buffalo & the Honey Buffalo sauce - both were mind blowing with their own distinct flavor. The garlic butter buffalo tasted exactly like Garlic . Butter. Buffalo. Same thing with the Honey Buffalo=Honey.Buffalo. Not one flavor was lacking or singling out the other and they all stood out equally. I live an hour away but guess what ? “Service is good just a little slow and I mean a LITTLE. Atmosphere is ok...like any other store you have to have for your food at. It's definitely clean inside. As far as the food...not a HUGE fan of the fried wings but the breaded hot wings are FIRE! And I also have become addicted to the well done chicken and rice with the salad. “The negatives out of the way:
- The counter person could use some training (I called to place an order and was told to place one onine?)
- If you order the peach wontons, get them without whipped cream...not sure why a takeout place is topping dessert with something that doesn't travel but they were still tasty when soggy.
- Also the crab rangoons are not good. It mostly tasted like old bay mush inside a wrapper.

However, the General Roscoe's chicken, soul and collard green eggrolls, and especially the oxtail lo mein are more than enough to get this to an easy 4 stars.

- I was expecting to see where the line of "east meets west" flavors collide, but the General Roscoe's chicken became something else entirely, in a good way.
- The egg rolls were perfect and the wraps they use are different and have a great texture.
- The Oxtail Lo Mein is the star of the show. Super flavorful and you can really taste how long the oxtail was cooked. This is an immensely rich dish in all the right ways and I will be back with anyone who will listen to me to have it again.“

“I went here for dinner tonight around 4ish. I found a parking spot on the side street the same block as the old tower Theater. It’s a metered street. I waited for about 15 minutes for my food. I chose the spicy. The heat level was nice!!! I enjoyed it and there was a lot of hot chili oil in the bottom of the rice but I just mixed it in and ate it. I like that their wings are not big. They were a perfect size.

I drove and ate my food and by the time I got from 69th and Market to 63rd and City Avenue, my wings were gone! I told my son that we could share so he can try it as well but when I tell you, I actually thought for a second not to give him any of this food because that flavor really stayed on my pallet for quite some time.

I also ordered the shrimp with fried rice but it was just ok. The shrimp were too small. The fried fish was fried too hard.

Overall I really enjoyed what I came for. I will be come here whenever I’m in the area because I live too far to come here often. I’m kind of glad I don’t live close!“

“I usually use the drive-thru but have also gone into order a few times. Overall, a positive experience. The chicken here is absolutely delicious and the breading is very fresh and crunchy. It's good to know that the inside eating space is on the small side, so not appropriate for large parties. It's also located in a large square with a Target, a pet store, and there's also an Electrify America charger.

The person taking the order should make more of an effort to make sure you're getting what you want instead of just putting in an order by checking off boxes. However, this Popeyes restaurant is like a beacon of light in a bad neighborhood. I was greeted politely and the service was fairly quick. The sandwich was excellent, the restaurant was clean and I didn't feel as unsafe as I would in many of the other establishments.
