“On Wednesday, August 27, in the midst of one of the most difficult days of my life as I coordinated hospice care for my father, I stopped at La Playa Bowls to find some nourishment. I hadn’t eaten all day, and what I received was far more than just a meal.

I was blessed with the healthy refreshment of fresh ingredients, lovingly customized just for me, and even more so, with the kindness and light of an AMAZING manager—Dawn. Your compassion, generosity, and gracious spirit lifted me in a way that words can hardly capture. You didn’t just provide outstanding customer service—you shared your heart.

The bowl was prepared with care, its ingredients as fresh, energizing, and delicious as always. But what made the experience extraordinary was you, Dawn. On a day that felt heavy, you poured joy and encouragement into my spirit.

“The place is super cozy. The dessert options are just right and the gluten-free options are so delish. The cortado was yum with latte-art; super special. I was passing by Media and craved something sweet so I found this place by chance. The owner is fabulous, she’s friendly and super nice to chat with. I wish her lots of successful years here. “I ordered my two smoothies online. One was a healthy one and one was a guilty pleasure. I was in town for some remote work at a nearby hotel and decided to have a healthy breakfast and an indulgence-lunch for later.
This is a cute little café on the corner of some street but as soon as you get in, you greeted with some hippie type of West Coast vibes, including the music that was being played. I loved it. It reminded me of the West Coast that I miss dearly. The smoothies weren’t bad. I would not say that they are on par with Tropical Smoothie Cafe as far as consistency. But, most of the ingredients that they use here is all natural so that’s the compromise you get, but I would choose them over Tropical Smoothie Cafe any day of the week due to the top quality ingredients.

The cups are very stylish, cool, and convenient. The staff is always friendly and smiling, which instantly lifts the mood. The drinks are super delicious and you can feel they’re made with love. I especially recommend trying the Taro bubble tea!!“

“Stopped in here for a bite to eat while shopping. Ordered a smoothie and a wrap along with a Quesadillas... Really enjoyed the jerk chicken wrap and the smoothie. Quesadillas wasn't back but not a fan.
Didn't have to wait was able to order quickly. Food was reasonable priced and good quality. Will definitely stop in again.

“My fiancé and I swung by tonight to get some ice cream for our pups. My fiancé went in while I stayed with the dogs but he said the staff was very nice! Definitely coming back, we all enjoyed it especially the pups!“

“My kids love this place and the staff are always so friendly and give them stickers or something special. The Barbie drink comes with a straw topper which my daughter is now obsessed with and my son is raving about the Dubai chocolate drink.“

“This is a huge KFT store, the largest I have ever been in. Massive open area to chill, hangout, play games and rest. The space was clean and organized with couple of small arcades and few board games in the shelves.

The menu had all the popular drinks including my favorite mango milk tea with popping pearls. It was easy to put the order through kiosk, no wait time at all. Surprisingly the drinks took longer than usual, about 10 minutes to be ready. But once we got them, the flavor of my milk tea was amazing. The popping bobas were also fresh. Other than the delay, I liked this overall experience at this store.“

“Somehow forgot to review this joint…so here it goes! Had the Greek toast and it was fabulous! It wasn’t a huge portion being that I’m a man but I hammered that toast like it was John Stamos!!! It was served on a wood cutting board which was cool but some of the toppings kept falling off and onto the table! I would have ate the pieces that fell on the table but I have a wood allergy!! My daughter got a bowl but I don’t remember which one! That was delicious too because I ended up eating most of that(she didn’t like it)!! I went home and did the treadmill…blood tests always say pre diabetic 🤷🏾. The coffee was delicious as well!! Have to give a huge shout out to the granola they have!!!!!! It was in my daughter’s bowl and it was the best granola ever!!!! We ate outside which was very nice and the one couple had their dog with them!!! I looked at that dog and said Hey Dog O, heheheee!!!! The whole Ellis Preserve is a great spot and Toastique is a must visit!!!!“

“I have been eating here every Sunday for several years. And then I shop. Everything tastes great, everything is organic, mostly wholegrain and it is 95% vegan and is an amazing bargain! Jammed Yam (sweet potato with quinoa, black beans, pineapple, mixed peppers, jalapenos, cilantro, avocado) has been my go to for a while now, but I do get other entrees from time to time. There is always a special and a soup and if you get there early you might be able to get one or two of their $.99 vegan wholegrain muffins. Yes, you can mix and match any ingredients or pay $.75 to get extra. I also get a kombucha refill in my growler.“

“The times I've gone in, always around 9 or 10am midweek, service has been quick and friendly. One time they even put together a free mini-cup for my 3 year old when the blender ended up being a little too full with another order.
Clean, with very minimal seating. The ACME at Manoa has pretty good coupons for Smoothie King on the back of their receipts, and if you live in the area you might get two-for-one coupons in the mail. It's fairly easy to find a discount here - give them a try when the opportunity to order on the cheap arises.“

“Nice little spot to have milk tea and fried chicken. The drinks are always delicious but this is my first time trying the chicken.

We ordered the 5 pcs chicken tender combo and the spicy chicken sandwich. Both were decent for what it was. They had a lot of special sauces for the chicken. Cool little drink place to hang out with friends and they even have free wifi if you need to get some work done.“

“I went in the weekend and they always had people ordering and waiting. The service was quick for the smoothie I ordered. Loved the taste… unlike other smoothie places it wasn’t full of ice and very less fruit. Ordered mango smoothie and definitely recommend this here. “I want to thank them for a perfect açaí bowl. I swear this is the first time I’ve gotten peanut butter in my Nutter butter bowl at any of the juice pods I’ve been to. It’s probably the best I’ve had from all in Delco and I’ve tried about 80% of them. When I was there, I could tell they were taking their time to craft each and every bowl meal smoothie that went out the door and I appreciate that! “The boba was of a good consistency and tasted of brown sugar. The earl grey tea at 70% sweetness was flavored well. The frothy milk cap took this drink to an unprecedented level of delight. The sweet to salty ratio was flawless and once it was incorporated thoroughly into my drink, I couldn’t scarf it down fast enough. I will be dreaming of this bubble tea.“
