“We ate here during a glamping trip. We ordered a cheesesteak sandwich, eggplant parmesan hoagie and french fries. We were not expecting much because it looked like any other pizza joint but what we got was very good. It’s very hard to get a good eggplant parmesan anywhere these days but we took a chance. Usually it’s made with frozen breaded eggplant patties. Which doesn’t make sense because you already have the hoagie roll. This eggplant was not breaded. Don’t know if it was prepared ahead of time but honestly pretty darn good. The cheesesteak was very good. It was prepared fresh to order. The steak was tender. The bread for the hoagie was crisp and fresh. The cheese and sauce was of a good quality. The french fries were made to order and very crispy. The staff were friendly. The place was clean.”

“Food came out very fast. Atmosphere is very nice and cozy. The food alone was amazing and very fresh every time we go. The pasta dishes are better than most if not all of there other restaurants in wc. You can tell when effort is put into every dish and the chefs put full effort to make every bite as good as the last.”

“Administrative details - While you usually must make a reservation a year in advance (which I did), there are a very few earlier spots available on their website. In addition, if you are on the email list, they send the occasional last-minute availability. Talula’s is BYOB. The price was $125 and with all the other things, taxes, gratuities, it came to $160. The Nook Table is available for 6-8 diners and the Farm Table is for larger parties. Website link is below. Everything is presented in “tasting” small portions. In addition to the menu, they provided a couple of additional offerings. I did not do a good job of capturing the delightful descriptions of the food provided by our server. (The next time I go, I will video the descriptions if they allow.) The group did a great job of bringing wine which was beautifully poured in appropriate glassware by our server. The server also paired the wine with the offerings for us! The service was exceptional without being pretentious. After each tasting, plates, utensils and glasses were cleared and refurbished so discreetly that you hardly noticed. The menu changes with the “farm to table” availability. My favorite was a squash tarte. [I was delighted to find that I did not like the foie gras. It is “made” in a most inhumane and horrible way. This is the only time I have eaten it and I will never eat it again.] I was sorry to find that by the Black Garlic Beef Ribeye (#6 on the list), I was getting to the point of “too much food.” The only downsides were “too much food” for most of us and the wines they suggested for the pairings were hard/impossible to find. I personally did not like the varieties of wines they suggested for pairings. The rest of the party enjoyed the comparable wines they were able to find and allowed the server to pair with the tastings. I will be making a reservation for next year very soon. I have already made a reservation for the “sister” Talula’s Garden in Philly for September.”

“Spoilt food. I am a regular here and pick up lunch meals often. Food was consistently good until yesterday. Sambar was spoilt and straight away smelled obnoxious. I get it that items like sambar are not made fresh daily but the owners and the chef should have the basic human courtesy to check for quality before selling it. Taste can be off but quality is non negotiable. It is sad that an indian restaurant with good name in the area is going down the drain like this. Never ordering here again.”

“Absolutely hands down the best Steak and Cheese sub and the Italian Hoagie!! Fresh and made to order. I would drive 2 hours to order these subs again. The subs were so delicious and fresh order 2 ex large to bring home! You gotta try! The staff is so nice and welcoming!”

“I brought my daughter as we recently moved to Kennett. The restaurant was very clean and the entire staff was so welcoming. The owner came over to make sure we were enjoying everything and couldn’t have been any nicer. The pizza is very good and my daughter loved the cheesesteak. They offer delivery as well which is convenient.”

“Malgudi Cafe feels like home. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. And the food is excellent. The food served at Malgudi Cafe is the food I'm served when I visit my friend's homes in India. It's a taste of India in Exton. The food is prepared to order and is consistently delicious, so I don't mind waiting occasionally. I also appreciate that I can ask any server for help. Anyone carrying a white handheld terminal can add to my order and close my check. It's convenient, especially when they're busy. My current favorite dish is the vegetable uttapam. I spent 3 1/2 weeks in India earlier this year and didn't find any uttapam that was better than Malgudi Cafe. Same goes for the chai - it's outstanding. Do yourself a favor and get to Malgudi Cafe. You'll be glad you did!”

“Yoris did a wonderful job on the cake for my daughter in laws baby shower. I sent them a picture of the cake that I loved and they replicated it almost identically . The cake was chocolate chip flavored with cannoli filling and it was amazing.Everyone asked where the cake came from and how moist and good it was. My friend and I ran the Tough Mudder held a few miles away, and thought it would be fun to celebrate our success with a sweet treat. We ordered 6 custom cupcakes (and two scones, because who doesn't love a scone?!) and got a prompt and lovely response from Tess - she even made two different frosting flavors for us since we couldn't choose On the day we were due to pick up our order, we were running late and Tess assured us we could come after closing to grab our sweets. Come to find that in addition to the TM decoration we'd asked for, she also decorated some of our cupcakes with the TM logo to differentiate between the frosting flavors. And the scones are huge! “my Fiance, who has lived his entire life in the area told me this was a vegan place. so, that is a very important piece of why I never tried here before (I can't eat tofu and coconut oil, not that im diametrically opposed). so I am ill, and my vehicle is in the shop and I just wanted some good old dinner breakfast. scrolling through options on door dash, the first picture of this place was some scrapple cheese thing, but as I was under the assumption this was Vegan food, I clicked through to see what tofu monstrosity this was. only to see that said Fiancee was incorrect, and they're a real grill. I ended up ordering a make.your own sandwich with hash, mushroom soup and fries with their chip mayo. I'm still sick, but everything hit the spot and I can't wait to go there in person with Fiancée who I raved about the food when he got home”

“I vist this establishment on occasion. It is always a pleasure. I usually order their burger with the BBQ sauce. The service is very good. The atmosphere is open and airy. You can have a group or choose a cozy nook. Indoor and outdoor seating. It is so worth traveling the extra miles to order!”
