“Chen is a wonderful little treasure, unassumingly nestled along Penn Ave. the menu is large but not intimidating, the hostess was happy to make suggestions based on preference, the food is incredibly well done and delicious even if you’re not strictly vegan. Incredibly clean and friendly establishment. If you’re vegan or just looking for a clean eating change of pace, this is a great spot to stop“

“I am addicted to the Singapore Chow Mei Fun dish❣️ it's thin rice noodles, similar to angel hair spaghetti, mixed with veggies, shrimp, pork, chicken, and beef. But what's so special, is it is seasoned with Curry spice, which makes it unique in it is, spicy to the initial taste, but not too much, but as soon as you feel it, it disappears, with just the mild but quite delicious taste of curry ! If you're a hot wing lover, or spicy anything, you must try this...but just save some for me 👍😋“

Also for those who don’t know this area-this place has been around for over 45 yrs cuz I’m 52 yrs old and I remember this Chinese restaurant. “When I went the staff was very friendly, forgot my egg roll, she quickly ran out and give it to me. Prices seem good for the food and I really enjoyed their egg rolls. For 8.50 lunch special, you can buy worse. Closed to home so that's a plus.“

“Yum! We are never disappointed with food at Zhuang’s. We love the owners and the family. We have watched the young ones grow over the years. The Sushi is amazing. My husband enjoys the Sushi/Sashimi Combo plate. I myself especially enjoy the General Tso’s Chicken and Fried dumpling. No inside dining right now but who doesn’t love take out. Please support our locally owned businesses in these difficult times that we are all experiencing.“

“Although I believe this establishment is relatively new, it is adorned with COVID style plastic wrap from the 2020 era shielding the front counter. It is typical of every take away Chinese restaurant. It is, however, probably the best quality within a 25 mile radius. The beef with snow peas contain zucchini which isn't usual, the lo mein was wonderful & the General's chicken was crispy big chunks of chicken. The proteins and sauces exemplified fresh. Portions, especially combos, were larger and main dishes were priced about two dollars less. If you're looking for Chinese take away, this is the place that stands out above the rest.“

“This is our go to Chinese spot. Their drive through window makes it easy to pick up especially when you have kids. They are a little expensive compared to the other Chinese restaurants but their food has flavor which makes it worth it! They do not deliver though that’s a down side.

“Never been in to eat. We've only ever gotten delivery. Prices are great for the amount of food you get. Food is delicious and it's our go to. When it's delivered, it's quick and piping hot still. You can't beat it for this area (not alot of options in the Adamstown/Denver area). My husband is from New York and he said it reminds him of Chinese food from the city (which in his opinion is the best).“

They used chicken by accident instead of shrimp and when I called the man offered to deliver the new one for free and told me to keep the chicken! I tipped him $5 because it was so nice of him to do! “I was introduced to this restaurant by my brother in law. I grew up and am still from NYC, we had a Chinese restaurant that made pizza rolls, and long ago they shut down. Pizza rolls had become my favorite at the Chinese restaurant because they were so delicious. I have visited many food places that would have pizza rolls on the menu but didn't have them in stock. So, having visited my family in Reading, PA this was our first stop. Their pizza rolls are amazing. I wish they made them a bit bigger, but for the size they make them already, still hits the spot. If you're ever in the area, give this place a try for their Chinese food. But don't forget to add the pizza rolls to your order, you won't regret it. ??????“

“Today I ordered the beef with adpargus. The beef was all rubber. I had to spit all of what I tried out. I called and the owner (female) said there is nothing she was going to do about it. $20 gone and no lunch. They just lost a loyal customer.“

I ordered the small box of Lo mein and Bourbon chicken as a quick meal during my stop here on a road trip. It tasted great! The chicken had plenty of flavor along with the noodles, being at right consistently as well. However, food was a little greasy for my liking, probably due to low turnover. “We found this restaurant for delivery and are so glad we did. The fried wontons are the best anywhere. The fried rice not so much but still better than other restaurants. Since we have never dined in there is no comment. However delivery is on time if not early. We order from here often.“

“This 15 year old boy, I think his name was Wilson. Something like that. He was amazing. I called on the phone and he was nothing but outstanding! He helped me order and even gave me his favorites on the menu. Even something simple like chicken fried rice was soo yummy and delicious. They were all so polite and even gave me a free wonton soup. “I was there yesterday and the selection is overwhelming...so much to choose from. I had the Thai chicken panang with a coconut curry creme sauce and fried rice. It was so good! Crispy spring rolls were great too and as a lunch special it was only $8.50. I took home another dish to try "Triple Delight" but I bet I will love it too. They also are fine if a large group wants to come as long as you give them notice. I will be back soon...I mean it's seriously good food!“

“The BBQ sauce and hot sauce taste great. Their general tso/sesame chicken tastes really good, the sauce is better than most spots I've tasted in the reading area, maybe all to be quite honest. Good on them, and they're close by if you live around city park.
Their shrimp in garlic sauce with vegetable fried rise is my go to dish. Plenty of vegetables, the shrimp taste good, the garlic sauce tastes great, and nothing tastes burnt, which was a problem i was having with a few spots around here. If i wanna get chinese food, this is my go to spot. I'll be trying the other dishes like the sweet and sour chicken and spare rib tips to see how they match up with the other spots.

Overall very pleased with the cooking here, will be a customer for quite a while, haha.
