“Tried Archie’s Taqueria last night and had an excellent experience. We had the birria tacos and tinga tacos, and both were fantastic. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and just really well done.

Our server was awesome too. Super friendly, attentive without hovering, and he recommended a drink I had never tried before. I believe it was tamarindo. Definitely not something I would have picked on my own, but I’m glad I tried it.

Overall, just a great experience. Excellent food, great service, and a really welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.“

Every single bite gave me chills and made the hairs on my body stand straight up!!! Please do yourself a favor and order the tostadas de ceviche…it was sent from heaven and delivered by angels!!! The tacos, lengua, pollo asada, and chorizo were so good and FRESH! The bistec (steak) burrito was packed full of flavor! And the cubano sandwich was juicy and delicious!!! “Use this review as a small grain of salt on your margarita glass. Being from Arizona, I would say I am hard criticism towards Mexican restaurants in Pennsylvania. Mainly cause it’s hard to find the proper ingredients in Pennsylvania. I personally do like La Familia. We will we will return. The only thing I will say negatively towards the restaurant is they don’t have a soda fountain, and for someone who likes their Mexican food with a cup of Coke from the fountain, I was a little disappointed. However, having an original glass bottle, Coke was delicious. Also for dessert they normally have Tres Leches cake and I didn’t get to try it, but I plan on it. So if you’re the thing that likes a bar and some Mexican food, it’s definitely your place.“

“Holy guacamole!!! The food is absolutely amazing!! I had the shrimp taco salad and hubby had the tacos! My goodness it was so delicious! Both the ladies working were so kind! I loved that they had music playing but it wasn’t blaring like some chain restaurants! We will definitely be back!“

“Overall, food is amazing. Staff is professional & friendly. We usually dine in, this was the one & only time we ordered take out. I opened my food at home to find my hurache to be made with steak. I do not like steak so I didn’t get to eat. I usually split the meal with my daughter but she also doesn’t like the streak so it went to waste. My partner likes steak & his tacos were perfect for him but he doesn’t like the cheese & avocado so the huarache literally went to the trash. He called them, they more than open to make it again as long as I brought in the one they messed up. However, I live 25 minutes away, I wasn’t driving back out there. The owner didn’t seem to believe that her cooks used the wrong food. The person that took our order had it written down correctly, they even repeated it over the phone when my husband called to complain.“

“Engine 9 and Ladder 3 of the Reading Fire Department are lucky enough to be right across the street from the Durango. The Durango’s one of our favorite go-to spots for lunch and dinner. They have a large selection of great meals, food, and snacks. Staffs always friendly and helpful. Great people and great food!“

“Today our server was YSARA, OMG the whole package, pleasant and knows her menu. Very attentive to us, making sure our drinks were replenished. Checking on our food. A very positive experience today. We don’t live in this area, moved away 8 months ago, but decided to stop by and wanted to give this Plaza Azteca a chance to redeem itself from a not so positive experience in July. Possibly that visit was an off day for them because today was what we are used to here at Mt Penn’s Plaza Azteca. YSARA was our server once before and she definitely needs to be recognized as an asset to your restaurant. Kudos to YSARA ?❤️“

“My husband and I just returned from a delicious, well-priced dinner at Norte Sur on Perkiomen Avenue in Reading. The portions were large, and the food was delicious. My husband had a burrito which took up the entire plate. I had a wonderful taco salad, and we shared sopapillas for dessert. The staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. We received free refills on our iced teas, and the total bill was less than $40. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Norte Sur, and am looking forward to returning soon.“

“Taqueria Jimenez Claimed Me and I’ll Never Escape

There are restaurants you eat at, and restaurants that claim you. Jimenez claimed me years ago and I have never once tried to escape.
The chicken huarache is my personal religion. The birria tacos are a flat-out revelation. Every out-of-town friend I’ve dragged here has gone silent on the first bite. That silence is respect. When visitors say “I don’t know what I’m in the mood for,” I don’t deliberate. I just drive towards Oley St. Then I point them toward the Horchata or the Jamaica and watch their entire worldview expand in real time. Also the music videos and telenovelas on either of the TV’s really make you feel like you’re just at your Tia’s house in Reading.
The seasoning operates on a level that feels personal. The staff will converse with you in English, entertain your broken Spanish, and quietly correct you so you actually walk away more fluent. That’s not just hospitality. That’s generosity.
Taqueria Jimenez and their staff are a pillar of this community and to me they are Mi familia(whether they know it or not) and have earned every ounce of those titles. If you haven’t been, go fix that immediately.“

“This taco stall inside the Fairgrounds Farmer's Market was an eye opener; their guacamole was fresh and bright with a touch of heat. I also enjoyed their street corn. However I was slightly disappointed with their steak tacos. While the meat was tender it lacked flavor. I look forward to my second visit so I can try their enchiladas.“

“I honestly wish I could give more then 5 stars. The manager and staff are so friendly and helpful. They care about the customer. It was pouring rain i mean like down pouring rain hard and fast. They were cleaning up the water and feeding wet hungry guests as fast as they could with a smile 😃 on their faces. I felt so welcomed. “Wow, super happy I live near this place! So far this is my favorite spot in the Mt. Penn area. Ceviche mixto was delicious, and the special fried rice was truly amazing. The fried rice was better than the best Hibachi fried rice I have ever had! The provided sauces were awesome as well. Plantains were delicious, and the free appetizer, a sort of cold potato with sauce. Highly recommend!“

“Play some pool. Was only a dollar per game which is very nice. To drink they have big fridges with what look like every kind of beer, mixed canned drinks including a zero alcohol option which is awesome. Of couse hard liquor aswell. Staff and security were very nice and helpful. Didn't try the food, but what I saw looked good. Fun environment with multiple TVs with different sports on and pretty chill which was nice for me as too loud of spaces can affect my anxiety. Now there's another room in the back which was definitely louder, but it didn't impact my time. The only real downsides for me was the dollar per song jukebox and the men's room wasn't the best. Usable, but not great. Definitely will check it out again.“

“Newly constructed location very nice staff was friendly the only downfall is they took KFC out of it but no complaints, instructions were actually followed food portion was much better compared to other locations in the area way better than Wyomissing location thats for sure I highly recommend“
