“Stopped at the Home Tavern while traveling back to Michigan from NY. We love stopping at smaller restaurants instead of the large chain restaurants. Had a great lunch and the place was just what we were looking for. Highly recommend the place and it was just a short distance off the main highway. Will stop there again when traveling through that area!!”

I ordered the biscuits and gravy and I’m still questioning how something so simple could taste so life-changing. I’ve had my fair share over the years, but this? This was next level. Like, “start-a-fan-club” good. The real MVP, though? Kelly, our server! She was an absolute rockstar—super friendly, quick with the coffee, and treated our 4-year-old daughter like royalty. Seriously, my daughter is now convinced she’s famous. If you’re looking for great food, top-notch service, and the kind of place that feels like a warm hug after a chilly t-ball morning—Big Irene’s is it. “Everything about our experience is beyond 5 stars! The food is absolutely delicious! The staff, i'm not sure where to begin! I have never in my 41 years had service in any restaurant as wonderful as the service here! That speaks volumes! We will be coming back, and recommending to everyone that we know! “I'm not someone to review food typically, especially the first time because the experience might have been the luck of the draw. However I must say the stromboli was incredible. Tina, the server/bartender was incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming. she shared some history of the small town, bantered appropriately, and made sure the whole room was impeccably serviced. Seriously, hats off to Tina. Prices were beyond fair and overall great experience. Will definitely return.”

“A friend took me here , yesterday September 30, 2025… as she comes to Angela’s a lot when she visits the lake. We spoke to Angela, she care about you individually, she cares about how your food comes out to you, she cares that you come and eat and enjoy the time you have there with them and proves that by never putting the meal ticket/ bill on the table, when you’re done… you simply walk to the register to pay as she never wants you to feel rushed by putting the ticket on your table. She will put any Veterans picture on her walls when you bring it to her , out of respect for veterans! You see that right away by the service flags just outside of her doors! She and her staff are good people, good food, good prices… respect her and others while you’re there, enjoy the pictures on the wall while you watch your food cook and even visit with the people at the table next to you. “Amazing pizza. My son has celiac. it's a struggle to find decent gluten free crust. Their crust is "the best he's ever had". Regular pizza was great as well. Spumoni bombs for desert are delicious.”

“We stayed in Room 3 for two nights (Sunday and Monday) and had such a wonderful experience! The room was clean, cozy, and surprisingly didn’t have that strong chlorine smell you sometimes get when there’s a hot tub in the room — it was perfect for relaxing. The staff was so friendly and approachable, and the owner stopped by a few times to make sure we had everything we needed, which was such a nice touch. Since the vineyard is closed on Mondays, we basically had the whole place to ourselves — it was peaceful and felt like a private retreat. We spent Monday unwinding on the outdoor patio by the fire, watching movies, and just soaking in the quiet. I also booked 90-minute massages, and both therapists were absolutely top-notch — one of the most relaxing experiences I’ve had in a long time! We purchased a few bottles of wine to bring home and enjoyed a flight to sample different options while listening to live music on Sunday evening — it set such a fun, laid-back vibe for our stay. I absolutely plan to come back for another getaway this winter — I can only imagine how breathtaking the property will look covered in snow and decorated for Christmas.”

“It is a very nice out of the way winery. The manager, Megan, does an extremely great job. You get a big bang out a smaller operation. We enjoyed our dinner along with the selection of wine offered. The small but spacious interior is inviting. Megan brings that nice warm charm to complement the food and, of course, the wine.”

“Pat's Fireside Pizza has some of the best Pizza in town. The crust is perfection, and all that cheese is just heavenly. The sauce is so very tasty, all together makes the Best Pizza In Town. I order it every week. The Staff is always so very friendly and courteous. Wonderful atmosphere and warm and smiling faces. Their menu contains so much other delicious food too. Definitely a must have when in Conneaut, Ohio.”
