10 Best Sports Bars in Wilkes Barre

“I was at Millers in W-B on 4/27, which was also the night of a concert up the street. It was packed. The staff at the front door were SO NICE! We waited at least 30 min at the bar with no eye contact from either bartender. Then, a man who was I’m assuming a server jumped back and served us. We were so thankful and he was also, SO NICE!!!! We sat at the bar for one hour until our table was ready. I used to bartend, so I get it that you can be busy, but at least acknowledge the customers. I also observed arguing between staff and then apologies. I’m assuming, bc it was busy and the main bar tender was stressed, but take that behind the scenes. When we finally got to our table we had Zachary as our server who was PHENOMENAL!!!!! He knew we had a show to get to. He was attentive, friendly, funny and the BEST! I would probably go back, bc the French dip was delicious, but not on a busy night.“

“It has a dive bar vibe with a huge bar area surrounded by some tables. It gets pretty busy at night. We didn't eat, but the pizza and wings looked good.

It seems like a great spot for drinks with friends or if you enjoy pulling up a few seats at the bar and people-watching.“

“Previously had a bad experience with a takeout order. The restaurant reached out and gave us a coupon to use for our next experience. We sat down in the restaurant today and it completely made up for last time. Anissa was so wonderfully kind and exceptional- she kept track of our dinner so we did not run over our limit, was happy to chat, and made sure our drinks were always full (and an extra lemon was happily given.)
The manager Jason P. made it a point to check in not once but twice to make sure our food and service was up to OUR standards.
This exceptional service is why we keep coming back- everyone is entitled to a bad day, but Jason P. and Anissa made sure we did not leave without full bellies and a smile. Can't wait to see you again!“

“I do NOT recommend Grotto in Wilkes-Barre. Funny that I click on no, yet it shows that I do recommend it. Anyway, I have always like the Classic Pizza, and needed something for just myself. I looked at the pizza sizes, and a personal is listed as a 9" pie. I ordered that for pick up. I went to get it and was really surprised by the tiny box. I got it home and got out my measuring tape. This pizza was barely 7" and the box itself was barely 9". I was still hungry of course after eating it. I will never order from there again. What a rip off. I went on their website to complain too, and was not contacted by anyone. They obviously don't care about customer service.“

“I am an avid buffalo wild wings guy. During my work, which is outside a lot, I intend to eat out pretty much every day. Since i am on a Carnivore type diet, i am very cautious on where i eat. Buffalo Wild Wings informed me that they use beef tallow for their wings, so naturally, i am inclined to eat where seed oips are not used. Trust me, finding out places that will accomodate the carnivore diet is very difficult, especially in PA from what i have found out lol. Anyway, today i ate here at the Wilkes Barre, PA BWW and prior today, I have never had a complaint lol. I asked my favorite waitress Kiara, if there was a new cook today, she said no. She asked me if everything is alright, and i told her the reason why i asked that was because the wings were very dry, it tasted very similar to the wings from Applebees in Dickson City, PA (Dry, overcooked, and rushed). However, unlike Applebees there in Dickson city, Kiara fixed the issue immediately and discounted my order and gave me new wings. She is absolutely great (if i was her manager, she be promoted). I got my new wings and my satisfaction was absolutely fulfilled!!! Thank you Kiara, and thank you BWW in Wilkes Barre, pa. Being in a customer service position, Kiara did a great job!!!“
