“we went to the Shebeen after a show at the theatre on Sunday 12/22. our initial experience was not great -we had major problems with our server who started out with us not taking a drink order and things being ordered incorrectly, and an all around bad attitude. After asking to speak to a manager, Demi came to our table, spoke to us and switched our server for the evening. She made a bad experience turn out to be a wonderful evening. everthing about her was fantastic! she accomodated all our requests and went above and beyond. Thank you Demi and we will definitely be back.“

“After reading about the real estate and trademark dispute in the law journal recently I decided to drive to Philly and visit the original Jim’s Steak West from 1939 that predates Jim’s South Street. Cool back story and legal wrangling to resuscitate this business. We enjoyed the neighborhood and the business started to fill up as Church let out with everybody in their Sunday best. Ordered a Philly Cheese Steak, Kosher Hoagie and Banana pudding which was all delicious.“

“My wife and I use Sciarrinos pizza pretty often. Having been in the food business for years and she works in food service we feel their food is fresh and deliver is fast. No complaints at all and their drivers are all very pleasant. Will continue to use.

“This place is so good! Everything I’ve gotten has been delicious. My one and only complaint is that it could be a cleaner. Far too many customers come in for the dining room to be neglected. Having said that, Freddy’s has the best hotdogs, custard, and shoestring fries I’ve ever eaten. A location should be opened in Philly.“

“We were visiting the area from out of town and wanted to stop at crumbl cookies next door to this place. We decided to stop in and get a bite before heading home. They had a ton of selections and toppings. I got the M2O burger with the onion ring and special sauce, my sister got a classic burger and my daughter got a salad. Everything was delicious. The burger was hot, fresh and very juicy. I loved the pretzel roll and my sister said her potato roll was very soft and tasty. She especially liked the thick cut pickles. The onion ring on my burger was huge and crispy. I would definitely order those as a side in the future. The Crinkle cut sweet potato fries were equally delicious! We also got a Chocolate milkshake. They accidentally made it twice and instead of throwing the second one away, let us take it for free. All around good place and good people!“

“It was a early afternoon lunch for my wife and I as we had business in the area and we decided on Wilson's and what a surprise right from the start the location was great the inside decor was exceptionally really nice clean and fitting for a barbecue restaurant the atmosphere and service was great as well a big shout out and thanks to Kelly our server who was more than gracious in making sure we were taking care of as for the food I hand the brisket cheese steak I highly recomened trying its a winner ! My wife had the brisket tacos she loved them both were coupled with the secret barbecue sauce which is a standout we had two orders of wings and fried pickles for our appetizers both had great flavor and were well made some of the best that I've had any were .. “This little pizza place is adorable in that, the owners have an Old School sweetness & hominess that reminds me of the NJ "pizza places" where I grew up. They are so so warm and kind, which is very hard to find in Philly restaurants! When I arrived, my pie was not quite ready, so I waited outside. 5 minute later, the kind gentleman brought it out to me without even being asked. That really made my day!

I ordered a 10" veggie pie with mushrooms, spinach, broccoli, onion and fresh sliced tomatoes. The crust was delightful, fluffy & dense. The veggies were fresh and thoughtfully placed on the pie giving it great visual appeal. When I bit into it, each bite gave me just the right amount of juiciness. I also liked that the pie wasn't overly salty. The cheese was my least favorite part, but overall, I really enjoyed my respite from cooking and am grateful for Royal being in our neighborhood!“

“Omg! Ralissa is amazing. I called and had an issue with my door dash that charged me to deliver a drink when for some reason all the food got deleted off of the order. They gave me the run around about it and it took forever to even consider them getting a refund. They wouldn't refund me for an accidental 10 dollar drink. But I called and Ralissa asked her higher ups worked her magic and gave me the refund when she cancelled it on her end. I attempted to order through the door dash/Uber site again and this time the food went through. Well guess what was waiting for me in the bag not only did she put the drink that she comp for my hassle but she wrote a note to me that she wanted me to have the drink. It made me feel so special. I called her back and thanked her. I made sure to write this review about her because she really went above and beyond. I pray many blessings on her life and that she never lose that extra light she has!“
