I’ve been disappointed with the soup at several other restaurants in the area, but Wild Ginger’s version of it is PHENOMENAL! Loaded with wonderful stock and truly having a sour taste with a subtle kick of spicy. (It’s surprising how many restaurants do not have both.) I could have made a meal out of it. Will definitely be back.”

“We went on 2/8/25. Staying at the Hampton inn for a dance comp. Our waiter, unfortunately l, didn’t catch his name was absolutely AMAZING! More people kept getting added to our party, he, without hesitation, added more tables and chairs. He took our orders and separated the checks without us even asking. He just really went above and beyond and was amazing! I hope he gets the recognition he deserves! Thank you again! Food and drinks were 10/10!”

But hadn't frequented the white rose after they went to a more upscale setting, my old high school homie suggested we go there and after we got seated I found out his out of town visit was for a death in his family that he assumed I knew about but I did not... now your staff being as great as you guys are and the food made this bad personal experience for us very nice otherwise, and it made me feel I may visit again sometime for lunch and a cold 🍺”

The chef clearly knows how to make dishes taste savory. The beer and wine selection is top notch and our waiter was well educated. There is a piano in the main dining area, though it was not being played during our visit, the vibe of the restaurant conveys it would be an amazing piano bar experience. Oh, did I mention the food was fantastic? There is a bar and lounge upstairs that offers a small and relaxing getaway from the main area on the first floor. Will go back often!”

“So hubby and I ate here today…. As soon as you walk in the smell is incredible and the employees behind the wall greet you very nicely. We were seated immediately and our server Garrett oh my gosh, I don’t even know where to begin. He was fantastic and every meaning of the word he was polite he was funny. He was happy. He was knowledgeable. He was the sweetest person I have ever met in my life and I’ve met a lot of people. More people who own restaurants should have servers like Garrett the compassion inside this person is off the chart he was the sweetest person you’ve ever wanna meet in your life. He knew that menu like nobody’s business. Which in a lot of restaurants, you’re lucky if one of the servers knows what’s on the menu let alone know what it’s about not Garrett. He knew everything and if he didn’t have the answer, he found the answer with Greg the owner who I must say was just as nice and polite and knowledgeable as Garrett. If you wanna try somewhere new and you’ve never been here, you have to try this place. I am telling everybody about this restaurant. The food was phenomenal . We have not one complaint from the front door to the server to our food and out the door again. My husband and I had such a fantastic time here we want Garrett as our server from this point on nobody else I know that probably sounds critical but when you get a good server, that’s who you want every time you go back Garrett was efficient. He was fast. He could walk by your table and grab the dishes without even looking at you. He was that fast. He always checked on us even if it was just for a napkin he’s that good Thank you again Garrett and Greg, the owner for making our day wonderful Thank you for an awesome time Bill and Debbie from Florida”

Parking: Plenty of parking. No need to worry about no where to park.

Wheelchair accessibility: Have wheelchair parking and a ramp. No automatic doors and they are heavy.”

Crispy outside, juicy inside like something that you'd see in an advertisement - but you actually get it. I had the steak, tenders, broccoli casserole and mashed. I didn't need all that food but I couldn't stop eating. Heather is a freaking machine behind the bar and the staff is a well oiled machine. Will definitely be back sooner rather than later this time. “We just celebrated our Dover Area High School graduate this past Saturday (5/31/25) at the Roosevelt Tavern, and everything—from the food to the atmosphere to the service—was absolutely FANTASTIC.

What made the day even more meaningful is the personal connection we have with this place. The father of my children, Edward “Peewee” Green, was a chef here many years ago under the previous owner, Bob Schimmel. Sadly, he passed away in November of 2012. Though my kids were only 4 and 5 years old at the time, many patrons still fondly remember him and speak so highly of his time at the Roosevelt.

What we didn’t expect—what truly left us speechless—was the incredible gesture from the current owner. Unbeknownst to us, he had held onto one of Peewee’s old chef coats for the past 15 years, and he gifted it to our graduate during the celebration. That thoughtful, deeply touching act gave our kids a priceless piece of their father’s legacy—a physical connection to a man they’ve heard so much about, but lost too soon.

We are forever grateful for that moment. It meant the world to me and to our family. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.”

“I chose this place for pizza because of the excellent reviews. I was not disappointed. It was my first time here, and Nathan greeted me with a smile and a pleasant demeanor. He took my order for a pepperoni pizza. However, when my pizza was served, it did not have pepperoni on it as I thought I had ordered. The young lady who brought my food out (also very nice) clearly showed me that my receipt was for a cheese pizza. No big deal, as the pizza looked delicious and I was hungry. No more than 5 minutes went by when Nathan came to my table with a complimentary cannoli. He apologized for me not having a pepperoni pizza. Customer service above and beyond! The pizza was excellent. I will return.”

“I've been here a few times and have ordered out a few dozen times. The food here is good if not very good in my opinion. The Cheese Steak is very good especially on their Turnover bread. The only complaint is a couple of times I felt they under performed on the amount of cheese steak and toppings. The Fries are very good and I've always got nice hot salted just right. The Hamburgers are very good and big enough with fries to fill you up. The pizzas Ive had have been great as well and my girlfriend likes the Chicken, Bacon Ranch one the most and she is not a pizza person. Being from the Philippines she is more of fish eater than American Food. She also like their Chicken Cheese Steak again she doesn't eat red meat at all because in the Philippines she never really ate it, it was to expensive. They have a great selection of beer too, if you go to pick up a little early you can drink something while waiting. Long review but I wanted to get one out since I have always liked my food from there so far. I saw a few really bad reviews about the owner which shouldn't have much to do with their food. Order pickup and you won't even know who the owner is. People get drunk in bars and get kicked out then give a bad review since they evidently did something to draw the owners attention.”
