“Today, had lunch at The First Post in York, PA. The place is nice and spacious, located on East Market Street. Our party of four shared a ravioli appetizer and had French Onion soup. Both were delicious!!! Easily the best French Onion soup I've eaten!!! For lunch, we each had something different. My Aunt had Salmon Salad. My wife had The Post Steak Sandwich with fries. Our son had the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo. I settled for.the Fish & Chips!! Each of us loved our meals - taking at least half home!! The portions were enormous!!! To wrap up, we decided on some dessert. My Aunt and wife had the Creme Brulee. My son and I had the Chocolate Reese Cake Tort. So good!!!! Service was phenomenal!! If in the York, PA area, you MUST stop in and eat up!!!”

I cannot recommend this place enough. I need to learn the correct names but the stuffed grape leaves were out of this world. I had chicken on their homemade bread - SO good! Go on a weekday if you can they’re super busy on the weekends but wonderful wonderful food!!!!”

It's tucked away on the back parking lot located off of Ryan Run Road , just off of Stillmeadow Ln. Definitely a place to try.”

“Went on a busy Friday night but hostess was able to accommodate myself and two daughters. I was in a rush and was pleasantly surprised by the speed of service by the wait staff and kitchen. Everyone was pleasant, food was excellent (kids had burgers and fries and I had the chicken sandwich). Had a long drive home and we arrived at 7:15 and left by 7:50 with full bellies, fun atmosphere, great staff… which was ideal! Highly recommended!”

The coffee shop was immaculately clean, the staff was so friendly and efficient and most importantly the food and coffee were awesome. Definitely will recommend Gather 256 to all. To me it's the best coffee/cafe in York! Thank you to Tyler. Sarah Molly, and Nina (hopefully I have everyone that was there Sunday afternoon) for being so awesome on our first time there. It definitely will be our special stop in York!”

“I’m no fan of sushi, so I can’t speak to that, but I LOVE hot-and-sour soup. I’ve been disappointed with the soup at several other restaurants in the area, but Wild Ginger’s version of it is PHENOMENAL! Loaded with wonderful stock and truly having a sour taste with a subtle kick of spicy. (It’s surprising how many restaurants do not have both.) I could have made a meal out of it. Will definitely be back.”

“The best coffee shop I have been to. I just traveled to Delaware to go to a coffee shop and part and even still can’t find better coffee than what they have! The staff is great! Walking in there just feels calm and refreshing! They keep the place clean! And even when they were closing the way day and I was having a meeting. They didn’t say anything just mopped around us until we eventually noticed! That was our bad! But I’ve never had a better review and I recommend their coffee to everyone I know!”

More people kept getting added to our party, he, without hesitation, added more tables and chairs. He took our orders and separated the checks without us even asking. He just really went above and beyond and was amazing! I hope he gets the recognition he deserves! Thank you again! Food and drinks were 10/10!”

“So I called in a pick up order of a pizza and mozzarella sticks. When I called I mentioned I had a coupon (from their menu) for a large cheese pizza for 10.99. The girl on the phone said bring it with me. So I did. I went to pick it up; gave her the coupon and she looked at her coworker and showed it to him and she said I don't think we're taking this right now. So I told her it's from the menu I had at home and her response was "we go through phases of when we take them." Didn't even bother to ask management. Now there was no expiration date on it mind you and no one said that on the phone. So what started out as a 17.00 order was now 27.00. Sometimes you have to go above and beyond to avoid these types of reviews. GREAT customer service would have been easily accepting YOUR own coupon. If you go through "phases" don't print the coupon bc the consumer doesn't know when your phases take place. This could've easily been a 4 or 5 star. The food tastes great but the "phases" comment left me floored.”

They used to be so crispy and good, double fried (I'm guessing) in peanut oil. Now they're just ordinary. I'm not generally a big fan of fries, but I loved theirs. I so hope they bring them back! ❤️”

Trista attended to our table promptly and so thoroughly that we didn't have to ask for anything additional.
Usually we have to ask for additional napkins for our kids, A1 Sauce for my daughter's steak, sometimes we have to ask for the bread, but with Trista, she was on top of all of this without even being asked. She was very comprehensive in the service she provided and expertly anticipated our needs.
I would consider this one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had in recent memory and would love to visit again to receive the same experience.”

“So hubby and I ate here today…. As soon as you walk in the smell is incredible and the employees behind the wall greet you very nicely. We were seated immediately and our server Garrett oh my gosh, I don’t even know where to begin. He was fantastic and every meaning of the word he was polite he was funny. He was happy. He was knowledgeable. He was the sweetest person I have ever met in my life and I’ve met a lot of people. More people who own restaurants should have servers like Garrett the compassion inside this person is off the chart he was the sweetest person you’ve ever wanna meet in your life. He knew that menu like nobody’s business. Which in a lot of restaurants, you’re lucky if one of the servers knows what’s on the menu let alone know what it’s about not Garrett. He knew everything and if he didn’t have the answer, he found the answer with Greg the owner who I must say was just as nice and polite and knowledgeable as Garrett. If you wanna try somewhere new and you’ve never been here, you have to try this place. I am telling everybody about this restaurant. The food was phenomenal . We have not one complaint from the front door to the server to our food and out the door again. My husband and I had such a fantastic time here we want Garrett as our server from this point on nobody else I know that probably sounds critical but when you get a good server, that’s who you want every time you go back Garrett was efficient. He was fast. He could walk by your table and grab the dishes without even looking at you. He was that fast. “Our first time visiting this establishment and we could not have been more impressed! The service was welcoming and excellent. The small plates were not very small and were absolutely delicious! The chef clearly knows how to make dishes taste savory. The beer and wine selection is top notch and our waiter was well educated. There is a piano in the main dining area, though it was not being played during our visit, the vibe of the restaurant conveys it would be an amazing piano bar experience. Oh, did I mention the food was fantastic? There is a bar and lounge upstairs that offers a small and relaxing getaway from the main area on the first floor. Will go back often!”

“I've been here a few times and have ordered out a few dozen times. The food here is good if not very good in my opinion. The Cheese Steak is very good especially on their Turnover bread. The only complaint is a couple of times I felt they under performed on the amount of cheese steak and toppings. The Fries are very good and I've always got nice hot salted just right. The Hamburgers are very good and big enough with fries to fill you up. The pizzas Ive had have been great as well and my girlfriend likes the Chicken, Bacon Ranch one the most and she is not a pizza person. Being from the Philippines she is more of fish eater than American Food. She also like their Chicken Cheese Steak again she doesn't eat red meat at all because in the Philippines she never really ate it, it was to expensive. They have a great selection of beer too, if you go to pick up a little early you can drink something while waiting. Long review but I wanted to get one out since I have always liked my food from there so far. I saw a few really bad reviews about the owner which shouldn't have much to do with their food. Order pickup and you won't even know who the owner is. People get drunk in bars and get kicked out then give a bad review since they evidently did something to draw the owners attention.”

They have quite a bit of specialty pizzas that also look delicious. I also had an Italian sub, which was very good. The sub rolls are made with pizza dough, something I do not typically care for, but this was an exception. Will be back for sure. As for the person who gave a 1 star rating because their food arrived cold and late through DoorDash, that has nothing to do with the restaurant & most likely a result of not tipping their driver. When you don't tip, it takes much longer to find a driver to accept your order, and then your food sits an gets cold. Leave a good tip next time ✌️”
