“Staying at Parque de Campismo de Vila Cha and went in search of local restaurants. What a fabulous and unexpected find! It may not look much from the street but the upstairs restaurant was lovely and full of locals which is usually a good sign. Staff were very attentive and food was absolutely delicious. We ate the monkfish rice to share for mains and it was outstanding. Would strongly recommend a visit. If we were staying here longer we’d definitely come back again!“

“The food in this restaurant was delicious and well presented, it had lots of choices between meat and fish too. The service from the waiters was exceptional and they seemed pretty chill. The location is beautiful too. Overall a very nice experience, I would recommend.“

“Very beautiful place, exceptional staff and fair prices for a varied menu with lots of good things. Everything very well made. I only switched to homemade fries, even with the skin on, but the ones that came were also good. Congratulations and much success!“

“As for this restaurant, the building itself is a monument. It has such a nice interior in a perfect location right by the sea. You can see the outside through the large window, but I couldn't see outside because I had dinner. There are 22 course menus, of which we ordered 7 courses. All the dishes were perfect, but the prawns and cod were especially good. Our expectations for a Michelin two-star restaurant were very high, but this restaurant perfectly met them. Also, they gave me a tour of the kitchen before desert, which was also a very interesting experience. They gave us a tea as gift when we left. Strongly recommended.“

“Restaurant, where the food is very good, affordable prices and very friendly staff. I advise you to keep your eyes closed. The dishes are plentiful. We were there for our daughter's 18th birthday. She was entitled to her candle on her dessert and an effigy 18.
Many thanks to you.
And before paying the bill, we double-check everything we ate together at the counter. No error possible.

“(Translated by Google) hello restaurant which does not look too much from the outside but inside very pretty setting beautiful wine cellar is very beautiful fish in presentation excellent refined meal I recommend(Original)bonjour restaurant qui donne pas trop aspect de l extérieur mais intérieur tres jolie cadre belle cave a vin est tres beau poisson en presentation repas excellent raffiné je vous recommande“
“We visited for Sunday lunch, the place appears to operate as a café, bar, TV lounge, takeaway and restaurant, and caters to locals as well as people from the nearby camp site. Skewered prawn and squid was fresh and nicely grilled. The dessert was too sweet for my taste, but a decent strong coffee made up for it. I've given four stars rather than five as I have eaten in more refined restaurants in the area.“

“Excellent restaurant to eat quality fresh and well-cooked fish. Quality and concerned service. Price a little high for the house but perhaps in line with the competition. The invoice is not detailed, only mentioning the number of meals and the price.
Easy parking in the area.
For the quality, I recommend it.“
“We stumbled across this family owned restaurant and enjoyed a “meal of a lifetime.” Mussels, grilled squid and salmon were our main dishes and they were complemented by fresh salads and fish soup. The lemon mousse that finished our meal was pure perfection. When you are in Nazaré, make time to eat a meal at Restaurante Gil Vincente. You won’t be disappointed.“

“Extremely friendly, attentive and competent, as well as authentic service! I would like to give this one more star!
The ambience outside in the small square, surrounded by old, typical buildings from the turn of the century or older with a view of a beautiful linden tree, is simply very pleasant.
The food was very tasty. I had bacalau with potatoes, spinach and asparagus. Delicious!
The white wine recommended with it was very suitable and would have absolutely convinced me on its own.
Definitely a restaurant that I would happily recommend visiting.“

“A couple of us went for dinner, we let ourselves be guided by the Google reviews and we didn't fail.
Very attentive and pleasant waiters, orders came out quickly and well even though the restaurant was full.
Apart from the typical starters that are typical of Portugal, they served us a Broa bread filled with cheese and mayonnaise that was delicious, we also ordered a seafood rice for two that was delicious and quite a lot for the price. That, plus a bottle of wine and a bottle of water, with coffee and dessert, were about €66 for both.
Highly recommended.
Parking: Parking on the street, right in front of the beach.“

“Cozy atmosphere, very pleasant sea view and I don't think they take advantage of the location to charge high prices, like other restaurants do. Very good monkfish rice, but in my opinion a little too salty and with a Knorr flavor. There was nothing lost in reducing the salt. However, in my group not everyone thought this. I also ate fried cuttlefish with cuttlefish ink. In my opinion, the name of the menu is misleading. For me, it's stewed, sautéed cuttlefish, anything but fried. In the Algarve there is a dish of fried cuttlefish with ink, I thought I had ordered that, and then it had nothing to do with it. Or at least the employees should explain that it is stewed when the customer asks. We were disappointed that it wasn't what we expected. But it was good. A good restaurant. The meat looked divine, it's for a next visit. I recommend the visit“

“Small and fine restaurant at the river mouth. Very friendly and attentive service. We had Pataniscas as a starter, these were freshly baked and served hot. A dream!
The food was beautifully presented and was very tasty. The side dishes were also enough! The house wine went great with it!“

“This is the place where we ate some of the best seafood and fish in Portugal. We waited an hour to get in but it was worth it. 95 percent of the people who eat there are locals. We were the only tourists! Everything was delicious, we ate several items for two people and drank two bottles of wine, all for 90 euros! I recommend !“

“Our group of four ate lunch here after meeting Américo and Maria the day before, when they were closed but invited us in to talk about their gluten-free meal options for our one member with a celiac condition. We all had fish dishes that were, quite simply, remarkable. The fish was prepared very well and Maria served us at the table. The potatoes that accompanied the meal were also prepared perfectly. The atmosphere was homelike and we were all very-warmly received. We definitely recommend and will return!
Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options to accommodate a celiac condition.“

“We came here by chance when visiting the nearby beach. It was a great success, we ordered some meat skewers and then some rice, be careful with the quantities, the average amount of rice for two people is huge. Of course, spectacular quality, everything very rich, very good service and good price. 100% recommendable“
“A very warm welcome to a classy but casual restaurant. After being seated we were shown a platter of fish caught locally that day to help us choose! Very tasty starters followed by superb fish mains and fresh veg. I could actually taste the sea in my bream. Could see the kitchen from our table - it all looked relaxed. Reasonably priced Algarve wine to accompany. After coffees we were offered complimentary glasses of port. Superb food, great staff and fantastic value especially for the quality on offer.“

“A great place to eat on the water front. We came across this restaurant whilst walking past and decided to give it a try. We are glad we did. We were seated inside on a very hot day which was ideal. The waiter was very friendly and guided us through the menu. For a starter we had olives, a selection of breads with tuna pate. For the main we shared the local cod dish with prawns etc., topped with potatoes. This was delicious and we ate the whole dish !. For desert we had the tart which the waiter poured whisky on which made for a superb finish !. We also had a bottle of the local white wine. We would definitely visit again.“

“If you're on holiday in Puglia, try this place for dinner. Problem: you can’t make a reservation, you can only stand in line. You cannot pay by card, only cash. I don’t know if it’s a plus or a minus, but the portions are simply huge. We ordered octopus and veal, local sausages for an appetizer, but didn’t get to dessert. Next time. I recommend. Here I am again and it’s still very tasty, a lot. Today we took two kebabs, that is, half each, but we couldn’t finish it. I recommend.“

“Restaurant serving meat and fish dishes.
We ordered meat, it was very tender and well grilled, but a little cold. The potatoes also came cold, but they brought others that were already hot.
The lady who serves is a restaurant professional, at this point the service was impeccable, without flaws.“
“When we pulled up we nearly drove on. However we live in Portugal and know that some of the best places don't look much from the outside. So glad we stopped. We had fantastic whole grilled sea bass and whole grilled sea bream (robelo and dourada) served with portuguese vegetables and delicious grill roasted potatoes. The grilling of the fish was perfect, moist and charred in the right places. Fish was on the bone but cut in a way so you didn't need to flip it to eat it. They also have great dessert with my wife living the camel drool ( google it). All in all a great typically Portuguese meal. Simple and delicious.“
“Small place off the beaten path. We went about 1:30 on a Wednesday and there was us and a few locals. Service was excellent, menus in both English and Portuguese. We went with the steak on a stone (house special) and were not disappointed. The steak was fantastic and came with 4 different sauces. The dessert to try is their Sericaia: flour, eggs, milk, sugar and sprinkled with cinnamon. Such a simple recipe but sooo good. Not too sweet, like a pudding/flan texture. We tend to stay away from busy tourist places and find the local ones - this was one and so glad we stumbled across it“
“Establishment located at the entrance to the campsite despite a lot of people the service is super pleasant and fast and always a kind word the dishes are well served and these are good and the shows are super good and of good quality. We had a very good stay. We will return in September.“

“After a long wait in line outside with a one-year-old child, a waitress with an unhappy face came out and waved her hands at us, indicating there were no available seats. We remained standing and after another 10 minutes, a man called us to a table. The woman constantly rolled her eyes and walked around with a displeased look as if we had done something to her. Madam, if you’re having a bad day, don’t ruin the customers’ mood. You work for them. If you don't like something, go to the beach and weave fishing nets.
Everything else was excellent.
The rest of the staff was very friendly. The fish and pastries were amazing.
Kid-friendliness: Read the comment.“
