“Great cheap bread and other stuff. Bread expires in 2 to 4 days but is fresh and cheap! I freeze a couple loafs. Other items are past the best before date (which means not as fresh or optimal taste but not spoiled or expired) but still good. I got Kurig coffee pods at a very good price and they taste great!“

D'habitude, quand je demande qu'on ecrive le nom de la personne directement sur le gateau… on me le fait Hier… personne n'a voulu m'écrire le nom directement sur le gateau. Alors je suis allé a une autre patisserie pour acheter mon gateau avec le nom écrit directement sur le gateau. Personnellement… Je trouve que ca diminue la qualité de vos gateaux d'écrire les noms sur du plastique… Si je veux du plastique sur mes gateaux j'irais a Metro ou Maxi… Mais pas un patissier. Ma suggestion, si vos vendeurs ont peur d'écrire directement sur le gateau… donnez leur des petites tablettes de chocolat pour ecrire les noms et les placer sur le gateau… au lieu du plastique. Le chocolat est bien plus attirant que le plastique. Je vous dit cela pour pouvoir continuer a acheter mes gateau chez vous… sinon, j'irais chez l'autre patissier.“

“Used the drive through and wasn’t fully prepared for my order. However I was greeted by a wonderful team that was patient and worked the order with me while my passengers in the back asked for more. My order was prepared promptly delivered with a smile and as incredible as it sounds the food was well presented. Honestly if every Tim’s was like that no one would complain. “Started last Friday’s day off with a stop at the amazing Cafe dei Campi. Fully veganized Italian pastries and small pizzas. Soups and salads too but I stuck to the Italian specialties. Hazelnut filled tortellini melt in your mouth pastries. Amarettis and Biscotti. The essential Italian cafe’s big espresso machine which makes the perfect double espresso with the layer of crema and their cappuccino with perfect foam. Accompanied with a flaky delicious cornetto, it felt like heaven. Much chatting with my friend and a necessary second cornetto and espresso completed our visit by closing time. We had lucked out with a table. Had a great rest of the day that right from the start, arriving at the cafe there was a couple with their little boy wearing a Metallica t-shirt. Of course I had to comment, he was so cute and responsive to my speaking to him. And found out he’s a true fan of heavy metal music, this beautiful 4 year old boy named Sandro. So the day was pretty perfect.🖤“

“This is a very good boulangerie located along Mont-Royal Ave East that is open from 7am to 6pm daily. They have a fair sized indoor seating area, many visitors seem to pop in for morning take-away. There was a short queue when we arrived 7.30am midweek. You'll find a nice range of mostly French style breads, tarts, pastries and bakery products. We particularly liked their quiche and almond filled croissants. Coffees served up on the day were very good as well. This seemed like a great boulangerie, one we'd like visit regularly if we lived in the area. Would gladly revisit next time in Montreal.“

“We weren't so happy with the free breakfast provided at the hotel where we stayed, so on our second day in Montreal we went to Plougastel instead. We kept going back every morning until the day we left! We tried brioche and a number of different croissants. Everything we ate was wonderfully fresh and tasty. The almond croissant was just delicious, with the perfect level of sweetness. They tend to be too sweet in other places, at least in the US, for my taste. The brioche was so good that I had to have two each time. The service was very friendly. Although the bakery opens at 7.30am, the owner told us that we could come in before then and the door would be open. True to his word, when we arrived at 07:00 the next morning, the door was open. This was very useful when we had an early morning trip to Quebec City. We tried both lattes and espressos, and they were both really good. At least three times, we happened to walk in just as something hot was coming out of the oven. Nothing like a still warm brioche. On our last breakfast in Montreal, we also bought a baguette 'for the road'. Along with some cheese, it made for a simple yet tasty lunch at YUL airport before our flight. Prices are very reasonable. Great place! Highly recommended!“

“I have been coming here for years and the quality is consistently excellent. The crust on the sourdough is perfectly crisp every time and the interior is always soft and airy. It is rare to find a place that puts this much care into their baking process. I usually grab a few croissants for the office and they disappear within minutes because everyone loves them so much. The service is friendly even when the line is out the door on a busy Saturday morning.“

However, the best gf bakery ever is in Manly, Sydney Australia. It is called Wholegreen Bakery & Cafe Manly. Portuguese custard tarts there were exceptional.Best gf sandwiches ever.“
