“Started last Friday’s day off with a stop at the amazing Cafe dei Campi. Fully veganized Italian pastries and small pizzas. Soups and salads too but I stuck to the Italian specialties. Hazelnut filled tortellini melt in your mouth pastries. Amarettis and Biscotti. The essential Italian cafe’s big espresso machine which makes the perfect double espresso with the layer of crema and their cappuccino with perfect foam. Accompanied with a flaky delicious cornetto, it felt like heaven. Much chatting with my friend and a necessary second cornetto and espresso completed our visit by closing time. We had lucked out with a table. Had a great rest of the day that right from the start, arriving at the cafe there was a couple with their little boy wearing a Metallica t-shirt. Of course I had to comment, he was so cute and responsive to my speaking to him. And found out he’s a true fan of heavy metal music, this beautiful 4 year old boy named Sandro. So the day was pretty perfect.🖤“

“This is a very good boulangerie located along Mont-Royal Ave East that is open from 7am to 6pm daily. They have a fair sized indoor seating area, many visitors seem to pop in for morning take-away. There was a short queue when we arrived 7.30am midweek. You'll find a nice range of mostly French style breads, tarts, pastries and bakery products. We particularly liked their quiche and almond filled croissants. Coffees served up on the day were very good as well. This seemed like a great boulangerie, one we'd like visit regularly if we lived in the area. Would gladly revisit next time in Montreal.“

“We weren't so happy with the free breakfast provided at the hotel where we stayed, so on our second day in Montreal we went to Plougastel instead. We kept going back every morning until the day we left! We tried brioche and a number of different croissants. Everything we ate was wonderfully fresh and tasty. The almond croissant was just delicious, with the perfect level of sweetness. They tend to be too sweet in other places, at least in the US, for my taste. The brioche was so good that I had to have two each time. The service was very friendly. Although the bakery opens at 7.30am, the owner told us that we could come in before then and the door would be open. True to his word, when we arrived at 07:00 the next morning, the door was open. This was very useful when we had an early morning trip to Quebec City. We tried both lattes and espressos, and they were both really good. At least three times, we happened to walk in just as something hot was coming out of the oven. Nothing like a still warm brioche. On our last breakfast in Montreal, we also bought a baguette 'for the road'. Along with some cheese, it made for a simple yet tasty lunch at YUL airport before our flight. Prices are very reasonable. Great place! Highly recommended!“

“I have to say this is one of the kindest and tasty bakery in Montreal, i got 3 lahmajoun and the dough was so great exactly like in middle east, the texture was amazing it reminds me of old memories.
The lady that serve and women when they know that i didn’t have any cash to pay they gave it to me for free and say whenever you pass you can pay, and then she said you don’t need to pay this from us because it’s your first time here.
So sweet to meet people like this in Montreal, remind me of my country.“

“I recently discovered this place and now I go here everyday! The food is so good and the atmosphere is very cozy and friendly. My favourite item on the menu is queijadinha. I can eat 5 of them easily at one sitting, dangerously good. Good coffee too. Highly recommended!“

As someone who has had countless Lebanese and Syrian manouche and sfiha over the years, I can confidently say this was some of the best I’ve had in North America. “Fantastic sourdough breads…olive walnut is a favorite, along with cinnamon and raisins…and all their monthly specials!! And the rosemary and sea salt focaccia which should be available all the time 😱😍. It’s not super convenient for me to go there, but I make the trip at least once or twice a month because the quality is superb. Kudos!“

“Was craving babka and this bakery was surprisingly still open in the evening. We got the babka loaf, a chocolate cheesecake muffin, and a rectangular cheesecake piece in the fridge section. The babka was pretty good, although I personally prefer the fragrance of the Montreal Kosher Bakery’s one. The other desserts were just basic, mostly only tasting sweet. Service was just ok, employees were speaking Spanish to each other and not that friendly.
The bakery itself is in a very bright and modern looking space.“

“Vitrine qui ne paye pas de mine, assez rétro mais ne vous laissez pas tromper! Passez le sasse d’entrée, les effluves de beurre, croissant, pain chaud et autres délicatesses égayent vos sens. L’étalage est simple, fournie et alléchant. Vous trouverez les grands classiques décuplés par des ingrédients de choix et savoir-faire tout en délicatesse et gourmandise. En bref une bombe! L’eclair au chocolat m’a fait pleurer, le croc-monsieur m’a fait fermer les yeux de bonheur le café m’a fichu un émerveillement aux neurones quand à la tarte au citron j’en suis encore toute retourné… Simple efficace bon tout ça avec le sourire… dure de repartir 😉“

“Excellent baked goods with consistent great quality, the area is super hard to get to because of construction and there are sketchy people around, but none of that is their fault, just a heads up. There is a lot to choose from, but it’s a popular place so get there early if you have a particular favorite in mind.“
