“On October 10, 2024, I had a very special gastronomic experience in a restaurant at Carrefour Laval. At dinner time, at New York Fries at Carrefour Laval, I was treated to a large poutine named in my honor: the “Seb” poutine. In this poutine, there are (if I remember correctly): fries, cheese curds, pieces of pickles and merguez, cheese sauce and brown sauce for poutine, pieces of bacon and the all served with a fountain drink. It was a real treat!“

The Crazy Rocket and the Soussok sandwich are amazing, and for the price, you really can’t go wrong. The food is extremely fresh—made and out the door in no time. “I've been coming here for decades actually. I just wanted to take time to firstly say: thank you for always giving your customers good service and being so friendly. The quality of food hasn't changed over the decades and the portions are bigger (depending what you take) than other local places. When we went yesterday it was about 10 minutes to closing time, I kind of felt bad coming in so much at the last minute. I think they were pretty much getting ready to close shop but, they were just as kind as usual, just as polite. It took a bit longer but that's our fault... at that time they probably don't get as much customers. I have to say myself and daughter were amusing ourselves talking in the restaurant while waiting and had no problems at all with the time it took to serve us (I think maybe one of the stoves wasn't on at that time is why it might have taken longer but, like I say, that's on us... you reach somewhere at the last minute, don't complain when you're waiting lol). When we were about to leave one of the employees had graciously given us a little something extra because we had to wait longer. So people, keep that in mind when you're polite and act civil instead of being a rude Karen or Kevin in a rush, you might get more than what you expected and even if you don't... that's just normal civility and way of acting.“

I was there for the first time, I had a doubt, it didn't taste too good, I gave it a second chance a few months later, the food was not edible. The color of the hot dog sausage was questionable, the onion and cabbage taste and smell peculiar like it leaves things smelling bad and that smell is absorbed into the food. The hot dogs are just not good. I advise you to review the quality of food, the way of storing (refrigeration or expiration) or even the cooking time of food etc. I will go back in a few months, I hope it will improve.“

The menu is different from the usual menu found elsewhere (meaning not at the airport). No meal deals, and everything must be ordered separately, making the cost more expensive. During the time that I’ve sat in the dining area, they really take care of the cleanliness of the lobby, also checks if the straws are restocked enough or if the drink machine area has spills around… They constantly come out to make sure everything’s fine. In other locations though, I could see trash being overfilled and dirty so I mean.. that tells me a lot about their standard. Everything was well organized and the staff was efficient, great experience overall.“
