“This was a highlight of our trip to Ottawa! It was difficult to find a good variety of gluten free options downtown. The Orange Turtle was amazing! They had multiple gluten free cookies to choose from as well as many other yummy gluten treats. The mango cranberry banana bread was delicious. The owner was very kind and friendly as we enjoyed chatting with him. The coffee was also very good. We will be going back here next time we are in Ottawa.“

“I came across the bakery years ago but didn’t have a reason to ever order, until now. I walked in last Wednesday and met the owners they were great, I was looking for a larger cake 23+ people and on short notice. Not only did they accommodate they gave me a couple suggestions and the finished product looked amazing and tasted phenomenal. It was definitely a crowd pleaser. Thanks to James and Andrew and their team for making turning 40 a little more delicious!“

“The employees who work at this location are super friendly and positive. I love being greeted in super kind way. Some of the employees know my favorite scone and when they see me they ask if I want the regular. I appreciate this as I know they have a lot of customers. The location has dine in and that area is nice and quiet.“

“We had a couple of cupcakes, Holiday Party Pants and Chocolate Orange. We had the Homemade Hot Cocoa and the London Fog.
The cupcakes were great, very moist and tasty. The cocoa was also very good. We found the London Fog's brand of tea a bit bitter, but otherwise it was good.
The person that served us was friendly and efficient.
Bring cash for tips as their POS machine doesn't give that option.“

“We went there for the first after our friend suggested that if you’re in Wakefield, you must try the bakery. And oh thank god, we listened, they had all the section separated from each other. Hot and cold drinks section, sweet pastries, and sour pastries section.
We had vegetarian swirl and a chocolate chip and oat cookie. The swirl was delicious, we ordered one and after eating I went back to take two more with me. Chocolate chip cookie was a healthier version but tasty as well.
I would you must pay a visit to try their vegetarian swirl if you’re a vegetarian like me and not like just basic bagel, and croissants.“

“I have been going to Golden Baguette for about 10 years now! Everything is fresh and tasty with great prices. The owners are a lovely couple always greeting me with a warm smile. My go-to is their Wonton soup! It's so yummy and filling! I live in the east end but my offices are only a 10-minute walk from their location, so i was worried that the pandemic might force them to close but luckily, they are still the best hidden gem on Bank Street! Depending on my work schedule I go there once or twice a week because I crave their comfort food! I LOVE Golden Baguette!!“
