“I bought my wedding cake from here.
I first walked in to talk about options and pricing. Andrew didn't really want to give me any sort of pricing (common and frustrating) but we talked long enough for me to have a vague idea. He gave me samples to take home and try. We looked at pictures so I had an idea of what we could do.
After I tried all the samples I sent an e-mail to get a proper quote. We finalized a beautiful floral design and he laid out clear pricing based on cake size, shape, flavour etc. I picked a round cake for cutting and some sheet cakes all with buttercream, ordered and gave directions to my venue.
I wasn't too picky but I chose a generic floral design with a slight change in colour. The cake was delicious. We got chocolate, vanilla and key lime. Should have bought more key lime as it was the most popular. It was delivered on time, perfect and beautiful. I have no idea when they showed up or who they talked to if anyone and that was just the way I wanted to. Cake magically appearing.
We got all kinds of compliments both on the decoration and and the taste... especially that key lime.“

“Some of the best croissants I’ve ever had. All of the people that work there are some of the nicest people. I don’t know what the low reviews claiming that the old man is rude are going on about. “Thimble Cakes is an eclectic bakery that offers vegan ice cream and a variety of baked goods. I had two cupcakes: carrot cake and brookie. For being gluten-free, both were incredibly moist. Also, the frosting on top was creamy and light. I would definitely return for some ice cream or anything from their extensive amount of baked goods.“

“I love that so many of their items are just honest to goodness, old school, like grandma used to make desserts and pastries, with the occasional new/unique treat thrown in to keep things interesting. I highly recommend their chocolate cake and ginger molasses cookies.“

“It was my first time at this location and it was easy to find. Climbing up the stairs I noticed that there were no accessibility ramps. The staff at the front counter was very cheerful and friendly in her greeting and our conversation. She was helpful in explaining the variety of scones.
I came to purchase and leave however i did notice they had an eating area on the left side of the ordering and purchasing counter where one could order a scone sandwich and eat.
There were jams and jellies for purchase that the staff were sure to promote as well as pointing out the frozen scones in the freezer.
I went back the following morning to buy a variety of scones to take to a breakfast meet-up.

Wheelchair accessibility: This place is not wheelchair accessible. As a matter of fact I spoke to staff about that very subject. They have been there for 3 years. Enough time to address those accessibility concerns.“

“Big fat indulgent gourmet cookies! Before buying, I was a bit concerned about the sweetness level because there were some previous comments about the cookies being too sweet or not sweet enough. I'm happy to say that it was perfect for me. It's less sweet that the typical cookies from a supermarket. But it's not so low in sugars that it's diabetic friendly.“

“We came here since we were visiting Ottawa and decided to venture over for the afternoon to Gatineau and wanted to try this gem.

We were blown away at the choices of amazing foods in this cafe. The flavours of everything we had was top-notch and honestly wish we came back for the restaurant connected as this was our fav food in the Ottawa area.

Next time we're in Ottawa/Gatineau, we'll be back.

“A gem of a Bakery on main street of Wakefield with an great eclectic vibe. A great selection of baked goods and other artisanal groceries to browse through. Make sure to stop by in the morning for fresh breakfast options as well as lunch options they also have Frozen prepared meals that you can take home with you. They are most known for their famous sausage rolls too

“Amazing sweets , and they are very patient while I sit there asking what everything is called and what's in it lol. While I was waiting the lady let me sample a sweet she just finished from where she came from; it was so good. So ya the bakery side is a must try. I was looking at the meat pies while I waited, they look amazing that's the next on my list, and I couldn't believe the price, extremely reasonable, same as the baked goods. Very nice people as well. Sturdy hand made and sealed..I believe it was 5$ preferred each. the masks are holding up great with everyday use... looking very fashionable I think🤩 Unlike most shops now adays, with the large crowds of homeless or less fortunate people, I've been twice and each time they not only allowed them to be in their store, but were kind to them and took time to speak to them I don't see alot of places do that usually someone looks homeless and they're asked to leave .. the woman who served me both times was kind and not rude at all.. during this tough times being kind goes a lonng way ..♡♡♡♡“

“This is a fantastic place to get delicious fresh food at a great price. It is my favourite lunch spot, perfectly filling. Their zaatar and veggie flatbreads are suitable for vegans as well so there are options for everyone. Really though, the best part of going here is the family that owns the restaurant. They are amazing people and so kind and generous. A delight to talk to. I have also never had food from here I didn’t love. If you are in the area I would definitely recommend stopping by to try their yummy food. Good for a meal or a snack!“

“Art-is-in has been a staple in our family’s rotation for year – we love everything from the loaded sandwiches to the pizzas and indulgent baked goods!

However, I was a little let down on my latest visit. After a long hiatus, I came back to treat myself to their classic bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich – only to find once delivered it no longer comes with tomato or arugula? Want to add these basic toppings? Uber Eats was going to upcharge me $8 on top of the already steep $21 price tag.

Still love the place and will be back, but that felt a bit off given it’s a basic sandwich.“
