“It was delicious and plentiful and the staff were super friendly and went above and beyond, I got them confused at the beginning when I saw they were big sandwiches I asked to eat there but have the packaging to take half home to go - long story short … we sat and waited and our whole order was already packed to go but we wanted to eat there lol - anyways it was excellent very delicious I had the SE02 my date had the Godmother Hero Philly Cheese Steak - OMG THE BEST TASTING SANDWICHES ? I’VE HAD IN A LONG TIME TOTALLY WORTH THE PRICE AND THE WAIT. Now they went above and beyond - they didn’t have to, we were already more than satisfied but because there was a tiny mix up in communication at the beginning they surprised us with an amazing Oreo Blondie (brownie with white chocolate/cookie base). I’m sorry I didn’t take photos of the sandwiches I was more into our conversation and then we quickly devoured them. But… I did get a great photo of the dessert I brought home.“

Every ingredient felt like it complemented each other and the bread was soft and crunchy. Very accessible due to its proximity to the Jean-Talon metro station, the Bánh Mì at the Hung Phat market are very good for a reasonable price. The original and the chicken one are my go tos. “I've eaten at the original location a few times, and it has always been a stronghold for brunch. We decided to try this location based on prior great experience, and we were not disappointed. This was by far the best meal of our trip! I ordered the indecisive which comes with lemon ricotta pancakes, eggs, the best potatoes you will ever consume, baguette and avocado. The meal was incredible! The energy smoothie was excellent, as was the latte. So glad they now have an English menu, as the original location only had French menus. The bathrooms are not as cool, and the atmosphere not as special as the original location (i.e. there are no motorcycles hanging from the ceiling),but there is a cool looking mannequin to greet you. Service was friendly and fast. We will be back!“

One could argue about authenticity and whatnot, but I don't think there is much pretense regardless. The shop also carries a curated selection of Asian snacks and goods. Service was fast!“

The customer before me got a sandwich and the associate didn't realize the bread on one side was burnt. It’s unfortunate that veggies are an extra cost, at an extra $1 per small portion of single vegetable you choose. Overall I think their menu should be revised, as the cheeses and certain meats are extras, but it just isn’t justified in my opinion due to their quantity in the wrap.Even a “small” is quite filling though, so keep that in mind when ordering.Tip: The choices can be a bit overwhelming, so be sure to have a look at the menu beforehand.“

“Where can you buy Vietnamese baguettes, bánh mì (sandwiches), and snacks in Montreal's Chinatown? At Hoàng Oanh, of course! A Vietnamese baguette is lighter than a French one. Your teeth just sinks through, and the crust peels off pretty easily. It's not explicitly stated on the menu that you can buy just baguettes. One costs $0.60 or $3/5. I love buying my Viet baguettes from here. Otherwise, you can just try their bánh mì. They give out a stamp loyalty card (at least pre-Covid) where you get the 11th one free. I'm still working towards that. It's still cash only, so don't forget to bring some!“
