“I had an awesome experience at Pork & Pickle in YUL Montréal. The bartender was genuinely one of the happiest and most welcoming people I’ve met in a restaurant setting — not just with me, but with everyone around him. He really created an atmosphere that felt warm, relaxed, and welcoming.

I stopped in for breakfast and ordered a coffee and water, then told the bartender to just surprise me with something good. He chose the eggs Benedict with wedges, made with their in-house pork, and WOW… absolutely amazing. The pork was beautifully cooked and had the perfect smoky flavor that brought the whole dish together perfectly.

Everything was cooked spot on and really hit the spot before my flight. Great food, fantastic energy, and a bartender who truly made the experience memorable.

“I generally don’t like to complain, and in fact, this is the first bad restaurant review I have ever written. However, my experience with the management at La Milsa Laval was so predatory that I feel I have no choice but to warn others. ​We had a large booking of 23 people and paid a $500 deposit in advance. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, only 12 people were able to make it. While I understand that a change in group size can be an inconvenience, the restaurant’s response was completely unacceptable: They "stole" our $500 deposit and refused to credit a single cent of it toward our final bill. ​Essentially, we paid for our full meal on top of losing the $500, meaning the restaurant pocketed a massive amount of money for services and food they never provided. ​The Legal Issue ​To the management: You should be aware of Quebec’s Consumer Protection laws regarding "No-Show" fees and deposits. In Quebec, it is generally considered illegal for a restaurant to charge a "no-show" fee or withhold a deposit unless a specific contract was signed that meets very strict criteria—and even then, the amount must represent actual damages, not a flat-rate penalty. Taking $500 for 11 missing people while 12 others are still sitting there paying full price is a blatant violation of consumer rights. ​We were looking forward to a great night, but instead, we left feeling cheated. I strongly recommend avoiding this location for large groups unless you want to risk losing hundreds of dollars. We will befiling a formal complaint with the Office de la protection du consommateur (OPC). Quebec“

“Atmosphere was average, the service is lacking my but the food is good. The food was fresh and flavorful. The calamari was on point, along with the cheese sticks. The mains were well plated but the rice wasn't very good. I would suggest a different option, their house salad dressing was light and tasty. That's a good option. The food is very food.“

“I’ve always been a fan of Scores and enjoyed their generous and delicious food at several of their locations. In my opinion the one the offers the absolute BEST service by far is Scores Chomedey (corner St-Martin). Their hostess, all their servers and even the owner always all make me feel so welcome! Whether it’s a casual lunch or dinner or when I reserved their party room for my family events the food and service was IMPECCABLE !!

“There are not that many traditional Chinese BBQ rotisserie left in the city, which makes this place even better than it is. Every meat is perfectly roasted and seasoned. The BBQ pork is classic and perfect balance of lean/fat ratio and sweet taste. A boxed rice meal will set you back 10-15$ depending on meat and the portion might last you two meals. It was so fresh and flavourful we were amazed how well the seabass, octopus, giant shrimp and cod were cooked to perfection and served with a smile to make sure we had properly transferred the food from plater to dish. “We went Saturday evening and the food is still good, steak with pepper and mushroom sauce, Caesar salad, Greek potatoes, fries, rice, everything is delicious :) The waiter, I forgot his name, but we were there table no 31, very friendly, smiling, very attentive despite the large crowd and from what I understood there was a lack of staff and even if the service was very long almost 1 hour, I have nothing negative to say.
We were in a hurry because we had a show planned, we were afraid of arriving late but the understanding of the waiter brought us dishes very quickly to bring the leftovers that we didn't have time to finish and our bill allowed us to to arrive on time. I found products from home (ndolè, miondo, cassava leaves and WHITE PEPPER POWDER (which I often have difficulty finding elsewhere)).Her braised chicken is really good (she offered it to me when I had finished my shopping and I don't regret having taken it).I really recommend it. “I haven't been to Vieux Duluth in years. I was hoping for lamb but was disappointed to see it off the menu. I ordered a simple hamburger steak but was discouraged with a hard piece of meat. Nicolas was on the ball with another waiter to fix the problem. Chicken breast with more salad. Mom had chicken and shrimp. Great service. My mother was having a bad nosebleed and extra napkins and concern from everyone. Staff and other clients !!! Great and warm atmosphere. We'll be back soon !!!!“
