“On Saturday September 23 we picked up a wedding cake for our son and daughter-in-law's wedding. Monika and her husband couldn't be more gracious and accommodating. They are normally closed on weekends but kept the shop open for us to pick up the cake. They packaged it beautifully for our trip to the wedding venue which was located at the top of a steep hill on the Quebec side. They even put rubber matting under the cake to keep it from slipping during transit. The cake itself was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers. Monika included an extra box of flowers for us to add later. The cake was a delicious two tier, chocolate and vanilla. The icing was a light tasting butter cream... only a little bit sweet....perfection! The guests raved about it. We were hoping to take some home with us but it was all gone by the next day. Thank you Monika for everything. Le Petit Pain will be our go-to place when we pass through Hawkesbury.☺”

“This place is literally the coolest. I've been to Ottawa breweries and they ain't got nothing on Beau's. Unreal the craftsmanship that went into every single detail of this place. Fresh lumber. Brewing. Beautiful grassy surroundings. Gorgeous inside and out staff. “I went there on a Sunday evening and several people were taking turns playing their quitars and singing. It has a nice atmosphere and the patrons and the staff are friendly. Its an old style Tavern with some modern attributes such as a small stage, large TVs and a small games room. Note: The design of the front door and the windows make it look closed when it is in fact open. That is a typical feature of old taverns when the passing public was not supposed to look in and see people drinking in the establishment when they were walking by.”

They sell "Café Dépot" coffee, which is less expensive and better than Tim's in my opinion. They make fresh sandwiches every day, they always have a nice selection of treats. Their carwash is very clean and you always get treated with a smile and a kind word. The place is worth doing a detour over.”

I called them and expressed my disappointment with the fries. I was told that I was banned after they became angry and hung the phone in my face because I was not satisfied with their soggy fries. The meat is tasty, the vegetables crisp and good (not easy to find at this time of year). The poutine, just wow!
