“These were certainly isolated cases, but on 3 occasions (2x in a row), our $2 on the edge of the pool table was stolen from us by troublemakers who were most likely only looking for trouble. Otherwise the staff is very endearing, willing, patient and smiling and the meetings are good.“

“Had an amazing experience at Rustik Sunday night thanks to the bartender with curly hair! Always so attentive and helpful and you can tell everyone loves her! I often avoid this place on the nights that the Asian looking lady with glasses works as she’s very rude and aggressive and seems to hate everyone in the world and will avoid giving back change by any means necessary assuming she deserves a 30% tip“

“Walked in here not knowing a thing about the place. The manager/bartender Raphael served me like a king and gave me a night to remember! It was Friday and pints were ONLY 2 DOLLARS and I got delicious wings in homemade sauce for only 5 bucks! “I spent three nights in Montreal and ended up at Les Torches three times. That probably says it all. Once for dinner and twice just to come back for drinks and friendly vibe. The first night, the three of us ordered burgers, I had the double cheese smashburger and it was outstanding. Fresh ingredients, cooked perfectly, and packed with flavour. You can tell they care about quality and consistency.
The atmosphere is lively and comfortable without feeling pretentious. It’s the kind of place where you can relax and actually enjoy your meal, whether you’re on your own or with friends. The decor and lighting make it feel modern but still welcoming, and even when the place was full, it never felt chaotic or rushed.
What really stood out was the service. Truly some of the best I’ve experienced in a long time. The staff were friendly, attentive, and accommodating, even during the dinner rush. You can feel that they enjoy what they do, and that energy carries through the whole place.

Les Torches is one of those rare spots that gets everything right: great food, great people, and a great vibe. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Montreal. Highly recommend!“

“Decent place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Veronique was attentive and an overall great waitress. They have specials on weekdays for breakfast. They have decent portions size. An enjoyable place to go to. On weekdays they have events in evenings, you can see which events and specials on which night through the photos I shared of their posters on the wall“

“The place has such a lively, welcoming vibe, perfect for relaxing and people-watching after a day in Montréal.
We had a few cocktails (as far as I recall, a Mai Tai, a Sex on the Beach, and a Moscow Mule) along with a Hoegaarden beer. Everything was spot-on: the drinks were refreshing, nicely balanced, and beautifully served. The staff were friendly and the service quick, even though the place was somehow busy.
It’s one of those spots that captures the best of Montréal, good mood, and great drinks. Definitely a place we’d come back to! 🍹🍺✨“
