“Cozy restaurant with excellent service. The staff has the perfect mix of being very attentive but not annoying. The food is good when every dish, whether salmon or chicken, is served with the same side dish, consisting of two half potatoes, some fresh spinach and cold! Broccoli. The menu is very seafood-heavy, but there are relatively few meat dishes (4 or 5). And apart from two or three pictures with Greek landscapes on the wall and a little Greek music in the restaurant, this restaurant has nothing to do with a Greek restaurant.“

“The food is always good. They have lots of vegan options and the coffee is one of the best around. Nice atmosphere and wonderful service. Just ask what is vegan as some items contain dairy and they add meat into their menu. This restaurant is no longer vegetarian but there is something for everyone there. “Fantastic food, large portions (split a medium anything between 2 people), and friendly and helpful service from George. This restaurant is a little out of the way from the touristic areas, so survives on local clientelle. This guarantees good food and service - and we received both.“

“I think service rating could be better if there was more enthusiasm from the servers regarding the dishes and what they are especially when there are no photos to show what these interesting dishes could be.

If opting out of imagery on the menu is the vibe, it is understandable but ensure that the enthusiasm of the servers are there to better describe and sell the dish.

Aside from that, the food we ordered tasted phenomenal. Again, had the server let us know in advance that there would be a bit of a wait time between all the other things we ordered and our pastitsio… we would’ve reconsidered.

Again with the whole “tipping culture” and the peer-pressuring of wanting to tip the servers. We did not feel well served but we ended up tipping anyways for the minimal “service” we had.. the refill on water twice, the clearing of our plates was faster than the food arriving on our table.

On the way out, we used the bathrooms downstairs and on our way up, the aisles between tables were so narrow that we had to wait for another server to pause taking orders from her table (despite her seeing us waiting there before she started to take the order..) so we can pass. Servers completely lacking awareness of their environment and reading the room…she did see us come up the stairs yet instead of quickly letting us pass, she began to take the order and thus leading to a really awkward pause where she had to let us pass by and we got the death glare from the man who had to wait the 3 seconds before he would order his food.

It’s 3 seconds. It’s not the end of the world for you okay?

We didn’t see the option of the evil eye candy that others had shared which was something I sort of looked forward to as the evil-eye theme is a personal interest.

We ordered: taramasalata dip with pita, lamb chops, spanakopita, calamari, stuffed vine leaves and the pastitsio (similar to a lasagna?) — the dip was freaking phenomenal.. which made up for the lack of enthusiasm.“

It was so fresh and flavourful we were amazed how well the seabass, octopus, giant shrimp and cod were cooked to perfection and served with a smile to make sure we had properly transferred the food from plater to dish. We shared two appetizers, a Greek salad and a beef kabob. Desserts looked excellent but we had no room! Would happily return again just to eat the Tyropita appetizer again - a whipped feta, with honey and almonds, and a delicate phyllo shell.“

Being from out of town, it was strange to be charged things like an upgrade fee for a Greek salad given that we were in a Greek restaurant. And pita as well. I am accustom to these items being part of, and included in the price point of the meal or dish ordered. However, everything was great, and I will reiterate that both the staff and food were absolutely great. Thanks for a great experience.“

Souvlaki Bar Saint-Laurent is hands down our favorite spot in the city! The food is always fresh, delicious, and full of authentic Greek flavor, with big portions that never disappoint. Every dish tastes like it’s made with real care and top-quality ingredients.

The staff are amazing, always kind, professional, and welcoming, which makes every visit such a pleasure. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and perfect whether you’re going out with friends or family.

A huge shoutout to Jerry, the best manager ever! He always goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy and taken care of. My friends and I go there every week after soccer, and it’s truly become our go-to spot.

“5 stars still don’t seem to make this place enough justice. I have been going occasionally to this restaurant for about 2 years now and it just never disappoints. It is a very fair price considering the amazing quality of food they offer, the service is always top notch and not just from the waiter! The hostesses, the buss boys, I’m not sure if the people on the side of the main door are cooks but even them! you can tell everyone puts love and effort into bringing a good experience for the customers! The waiter that has served me the most so far I unfortunately do not know his name but he is the sweetest, most attentive waiter ever!! But I really have nothing bad to say about any of the staff, the waiter with the tattoos is super nice as well, the waiter with the great hair I know you know who you are ahahah you are awesome as well!! I won’t forget to mention the girls at the cash whenever I decide to go express, always a smile on their face and super sweet as well, anyway!! “My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal here the other day while visiting Montreal. We adore Greek food and this was the closest we’ve had to real Greek food outside of Greece. We enjoyed a delicious selection of dips and a chicken and baked feta (!!!) pita, which are not to be missed. Also, highly recommend their new holiday drink, “North way to Christmas.”

“The food was great! The quality of the ingredients was great, the flavours were tasty and the toppings complemented each other well. The service was nice as well. The waiters and waitresses were all polite and friendly which was enjoyable. Our main issue was that they started vacuuming the place 2 hours before they closed the restaurant while we were sitting nearby which confused us a bit. It definitely made our dining experience a lot less comfortable. The portions were surprisingly big, I was expecting them to be smaller to be honest but they were quite large ones. Each smaller dish was about 15$ and the octopus was about 37$ which was more expensive but still enjoyable. The saganaki was the dish I liked the least because of the taste of the cheese but it wasn't because the food wasn't well prepared, just because of the type of cheese that I didn't like.“

Hear me out. I’m Asian, and my grandparents used to grow organic premium rice. I am really picky when it comes to rice. But this rice is rich in flavor and just the right amount of savory. I even skip on rice in restaurants in Korea because I’m that stuck-up about rice! And here, I couldn’t get enough of it!
