“Had a wedding here a few days ago and everything was perfect the place is nice the waiters are 10/10 they’ll always be on time waiting is not an option once you ask for something you can expect to get it in a few seconds. The food is one of the best Greek food I’ve ever tried, we had entrees of three different kinds of dips with slices of bread then some grilled octopus with calamari and fried cheese with some salade everything was good the salade was refreshing I loved the octopus wish I asked for more. The main dish we had a platter of sausage with lamb and pork with chicken all of it was great my least favourite was the sausage but the lamb was delicious with a side of potatoes the potatoes were good as well!Only bummer thing about this place is the parking which is obviously not their fault but depending on the time and day good luck finding parking.“
“This is a wonderful restaurant. We were there on a Saturday night. The owner, waitress, and waiters were extremely attentive to our every whim. The atmosphere is warm, clean and inviting. This is a very special place and I highly recommend it.Parking: Depending on the time of day, you have to drive around a bit but there is parking on the side streets.“
“Came in with low expectations and now i feel terrible.. this place is amazing! The tzatziki is the best I’ve had in a very long while. The meat was juicy and savoury, even the salad was exceptional. No hesitation, this is my new favourite greek restaurant in Montreal. And i grew up in Chomedey. Pricing is very reasonable and the portions are huge.“
“We ate for the first time at this restaurant and it was excellent ? .Recommend by a friend !The food was authentic and tasty from the appetizers we had to the main course ...Congratulations Angelo and your staff for giving us a enjoyable meal ? and yes your great service.Definitely we will be back and recommend others.Mario“
“? MUST TRY! ? What a hidden gem! This place is a must try if your in Montreal! Great food at great prices! The amount of squid you get for the price is unbelievable! Their taramasalata will transport you right to Greece! You’ll lick the plate before you leave!“
“This restaurant is fabulous! I wanted to try Dominican food because I love it. As soon as I entered the restaurant I immediately loved it. The employees are super nice, polite, and smiling. The atmosphere is great, the music helps us transport ourselves. The decoration adds a touch that really makes me think as if I were on a trip. The food... What can I say... Is wonderful. I was ecstatic with every bite. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. In addition, the price is very affordable. My meal was $19 with tax and without tip (don't worry, I tipped, it's just for guidance). I had the chicken stew with fried plantains ?, I have nothing to say and I will go back for sure!“
“Petros Taverna Montreal has a great selection of fresh food on the menu and I am impressed with the quality of every dish that I have savored. The tzatziki is exceptional in quality and tastes great because it is perfectly seasoned without any exaggerated garlic flavor. The pikilia platter is phenomenal and the chicken souvlaki is very tasty, too. A delicious meal is one that includes a delicious dessert and the baklava is delightful. I recommend this restaurant for a genuine gourmet experience!“

“The Jules Sandwich is the best sandwich I've ever had. I would order it daily if I didn't live so far from the restaurant. Also although indoors can get crowded at times it's really nice to sit right outside as well.Dietary restrictions: non-dairy options“
“We had brunch here one day and I couldn't recommend it more! We tried all of their savory pies (which were all extremely tasty), a cinnamon bun (excellent) and coffee (very good). Service was amazing and interior was clean and tasteful. Will 100% be coming back!“
“What an extraordinary experience Milos was. From the start, our waitress took great care of us, took the time to explain in detail the new arrivals and the complexities of the menu. Everything was unparalleled freshness. If you have fish, cooking in a salt crust is definitely worth it. The scallops: the best from Mavis: it was exquisite. Are we coming back to Milos? Absolutely!!! You just have to prepare your budget accordingly ??“
“Came based on a recommendation from a Greek grocery in the area. Was met with a huge smile and felt very welcome within the first seconds. Great meal, although I’m realizing maybe some greek food is not for me (soup tasted funny). Service was exceptional and beyond my expectations; looking forward to going again on Fridays for their special Pastitsio Lazagna day!“
“Outstanding Greek food, when I was there last the Canadian and Greek Prime Ministers where there. This is a Greek restaurant that the Canadian PM brings the Greek PM to when he is in Montreal. Can't get a better recommedation than that!“

“Quel coup de coeur!!! après le théâtre sommes attablés moi et mon mari et avons découverts un fabuleux resto Grec . Accueil sympa, serveuse très efficace et une cuisine Délicieuse.Formule tapas.....Aubergine Farcie à se rouler par terre, calmars fondants etc...Suggestions et détails du menu agréablement traduits par notre serveuse et une facture très honnête pour l'ensemble de l'oeuvre. hâte de retourner me délecter à nouveau.“
“I ordered The Souvlaki pork plate, and it was the best shashlik I've had in the last five years. The portion was substantial, incredibly delicious, and hard to resist. While the place may not be fancy, the food is definitely worth a visit.“
“nous avons été a Vaudreuil pour diner et quelle surprise. un repas digne des grands chefs goûteux savoureux comme ça fait longtemps que nous avons eu dans un restaurant. loin loin d être déçu comme dans certains autres restaurants plus dispendieux. j y retournerai certainement même si je dois faire beaucoup de millage car ça vaut la peine. chapeau au chef et ses employés. merci pour ce bon repas“
“I went there with my family for my father’s birthday and Lipon and the rest of the staff were so great! The service was impeccable and quick. The food was delicious. It was our first time and I would seriously recommend anyone to check it out.“
“We had a HUGE group of people in this place after the Greek Independence Day Parade and we were taken care of so well by our server John. Even though the place was packed, we never waited longer than a couple of minutes for anything. The food was hot and tasty and the Greek beer was frosty. Definitely would recommend!“
“The chicken skewers were fantastic! Loved how tender and juicy the chicken was. Plus, the mustard sauce was delicious. My son said it was the best rice he ever had, but it lacked a bit of flavor in my opinion. The salad was just okay. The service was good, but the place was nearly empty. However, it might have been due to the fact that it was the week after the New Year. I love the byow option. We will go back.“
“We have been frequenting this restaurant for many years, for my part since my youth, the cuisine is excellent every time we visit. Warm owners and impeccable service! The squid, the chicken, the lentil soup, the taramosalata, the flan, everything is excellent!!“
“I will be honest. The place is a bit filthy. They heat the potatoes in the microwave. And some side dishes like vegetables can start to lack freshness at the end of the day. BUT! Don't be put off by these little flaws! This is the BEST SHISH TAOUK SANDWICH IN MONTREAL!!! The chicken: EXCELLENT! Best garlic sauce I've tasted (and I've tasted a lot)! Best garlic potatoes too! And the BEST SHARWAMA TOO!!1!!1! In the end, it's subjective, but I assure you that once I discovered this restaurant, I abused it... and without regret! Every time I eat my shish taouk, it's a taste orgasm. NO JOKE! Monsieur Shish Taouk is a hidden gem in our city. Long live shish taouk and this restaurant!Update 7 years later:Still so delicious. I have been there at least 25 times in the last 7 years. I let myself be tempted by the falafels which are not my first choice usually. But oh my! I was not deceived! It was once again delicious. And the owner is always so friendly and loyal to the job! The prices are very reasonable too! Note that the place has had a little facelift that makes it even more cozy. Go for it!“
“We went there for the first time , definitely it’s not gonna be the last time! The food , service, and friendly atmosphere was beyond our expectations. The chef came to our table and asked us about our food, he was a very nice gentleman! Totally recommend ????“
“The chicken was well cooked, juicy and flavourful. The seasoning maybe strong but I guess that’s what makes this chicken different. The hot sauce reminds me of the ‘Shattah’ sauce you get in Saudi Arabia and the fries were amazing. Thin, but so fresh and crunchy. Also, they serve halal chicken.“
“I love Greek cuisine, but it’s the first time I’ve tried Moussaka and I wasn’t disappointed. Absolutely delicious! The béchamel sauce goes perfectly with the minced beef and eggplant. My only disappointment was the house salad that came with it, was rather bland.“
“My family has Been going there for 30yrs !!!cheers to my brother who loves to eat poutine . I ordered the trio chicken doner with cayenne pepper lol and I replace my fries ? for a poutine . I couldn’t finished half of it…. I was full. These men works hard . Congrats“
“Really good, and original. Seafood wraps, and vegetarian wraps, along with familiar fillings. Poutines with the same toppings. Filo cheesecake. Only two tables in the dinning area, three more outside in the summer. The salads and plates are also top choices.Yes, the prices are that good.“
“Typical gyro (in the positive sense), and surely authentic. Generous in chicken pieces and sauce. Not bad good. I loved! Respectable Greek salad. The pieces that made it up were also quite big. Rice and fries ok, but not memorable. Delicious dolmadakias.Positive result! I recommend if you are looking for a small Greek canteen that offers delivery (Doordash).“
“Good evening, today I ordered fufu, beef gumbo soup, and red sauce with beef. Very very delicious. A very welcoming place. Me and my mother loved the fufu and the soups from Akwaba. The lady and the very kind chef the best African restaurant in Montreal. Very reasonable price. The dishes are cooked fresh and with lots of love. The Akwaba restaurant is my family.“
“Ça commence bien la journée ? 3 oeufs 4 tranches de bacon (grosses) 2 saucisses à déjeuner 2 tranches de jambon une grande portion de tite patates à déjeuner 2 toast (beurre d'arachide et confiture) et bien sûr du café, le tout pour 15$ taxe incluses ? et la serveuse est très gentille, Ça vas être mon nouvel endroit pour déjeuner les dimanches. ?“
“What can I say - delicious food, giant portions, fully satisfied. Authentic Greek food that left us in a food coma. Did take about 45 minutes between our salad and the meal, but the bread beforehand held us over. Our waiter was great and welcoming. Will definitely be returning.“
“The food was absolutely delicious!! Best Greek food I’ve ever had! Grilled chicken melted in my mouth. The Tzatziki Omg what can I say. My salad was perfect! Just like my Greek friends parents would make! Decor is lovely and the entertainment was amazing!“
“Greek restaurant located in Le Cantlie Hotel, I would say probably one of the best Greek restaurant I’ve been to. The atmosphere was outstanding, and kept getting better. DJ was on fire; service was perfect - very friendly people. The food was perfectly made; very tasty and no need to say anything about the drinks.Highly recommended for group parties “
“Have been returning for decades to this restaurant for their (2 marinated grilled pork brochettes) souvlaki platter (with fries and greek salad). Very satisfying with a softdrink. Parking can be difficult on narrow Prud'Homme or on busy Sherbrooke W. Sherbrooke exit of Autoroute 15. Order at the counter and sit at a table. Simple service.“
“Wowwww, it was the first time I came to this fast food restaurant, and it won't be the last, because it's the best souvlaki ever! The fries are homemade, seasoned, with a little dip!I know there are fries and dip missing, because I forgot to take the photo at the beginning :)“
“This place is super hidden inside of the Via rail train station on de la Gauchetière. It's an underground railroad station! N.B Pretty upset about the whole covid situation as there was no one there :( I found all the restaurants to be super empty and it's just absolutely saddening to me to see these wonderful restaurants going under to the point where they close up shop at 14:00 and are done for the day :( Thankfully, we got there around 13:00 and we were able to get some gyro meat plates with delicious greek salad tomatoes cucumbers and tzatziki was deeelishhh !!! Everything was extremely fresh and delicious and wonderful service. I was in town and decided to have lunch here super great and hopefully they can survive this horrific pandemic as the food is to die for. Overall, Definitely recommend this joint for lunch if you have not been you're missing out on delicious food!“
“Just had a terrific meal from Souvlaki George delivered by their very own private delivery person. Plus it’s free delivery! Not 3rd party! All tips go to the driver! ❤️ A plus in my books! The food was very fresh and so delicious! It was hot where it should have been hot and cold where it should have been cold. I loved the authenticity of each item and the generous portions! The prices are very reasonable. I had a combo consisting of a souvlaki, home made french fries and a lovely salad (delightful garlicky dressing). I also ordered a small pikilia plate which I am saving for tomorrow. It will probably be enough for two more meals! I will definitely be a regular. Thank you for offering good food and good service!“
“We went for a baby shower. Great ambiance and nice set up. The food was delicious (shrimp brochette on a bed of rice, with a Greek style salad, and Greek potatoes. Appetizers were calamari and pita bread with three different dips. Generous portions - wow. Forgot to take pics, but great overall!Wheelchair accessibility: First floor accessible.“
“Excellent place, amazing servers, food is extremely delicious, but to be fair it is fusion, not all greek traditional, but the taste is very good, bonus you can bring you own wine! Also the prices are very decent, thanks, especially to the personnel, very nice and professional!“
“It's a staple spot for Greek food. They make my favourite pork gyro by a landslide. Not very expensive, pretty abundant plates, and all you would expect as standard offerings from any respectable Greek restaurant. Calamari is soft too.My only complaint is they continue the practise of hqving cuatomers pqck their own leftovers. It's not a unique thing to this resto, others do it too. I just don't agree with this school of thought.Besides that, excellent.Kid-friendliness: High chairs and kid's menu.“
“Great experience overall! Food was delicious, generous portions, good value, bring your own wine. Loved the tiger shrimp and lamb chops. Chef came to speak with us at the end of our meal to thank us for coming and ask how we enjoyed it. Friendly staff and excellent service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“The pizza is EXCELLENT (and very, very well topped) and the service is so friendly. Last time I ordered a pizza 5 minutes before closing and they agreed to make my pizza with a smile. When I went to pick it up, I left my gloves on the counter by mistake and they called me after I was already home (I live nearby). They offered to come and bring them to me!! Instead, I decided to walk back (the restaurant was closed at the time) and the cook met me halfway, running with my gloves on!! That’s service. Thank you so much !!“
“This my favorite breakfast place. They are fast and the food is good. The waitress is super nice. Man on always smiles and ready to please all customers. My favorite restaurant for lunch. They are fast and the quality is good. The waitresses are very friendly and ready to serve you. Manon is always smiling!“
“I paid 21 $ for one stick of souvlaki which was tossed on lettuce with a kind of sauce like mayo ,zero olive oil, and one tinny slice of white cheese which wasn't feta. Original Greek taste is impossible to be found outside of Greece but paying that much for something which is so bad imitation it's like they are fooling you .“
“?Since 1975, a Montreal classicArahova is an institution and it is often said that it is even better than in Greece. Please note, this restaurant is not affiliated with other locations of the same name. There was a family dispute and some stayed here at the original while other family members left to open other restaurants of the same name in the suburbs. This is the original. The taramosalata was disappointing and I took off a star just for that. Tastes more like potatoes than fish eggs, the one bought from Adonis is better than this one. On the other hand, good warm pita with oregano for dipping. The pita is charged extra at $3 (not clear on the menu). The lamb souvlaki pita is as good as it was 20 or 30 years ago, it's the same recipe that I consider one of the best in the world because of the meat that is prepared on site in the basement. Sublime with tzatziki! ?Yes, the restaurant is old and hasn't been renovated for a while but that's what makes the place so charming and I wouldn't change the little 70s kitsch side (see photos).A classic that never goes out of style - recommended! Impeccable service! $32 with taxes and service.P.S.: please leave a ? if this review helped you make your choice, thank you ?Parking: It’s Mile End, there are resident permits everywhere and a few parking meters. Better to go there on foot, the city wants to prevent people from driving by car.“
“Went here for the first time today to try the spanakopita. The crust is less flaky than other spanakopita’s I have had, however that does make for a cleaner meal and making this a good snack for on-the-go. The filling is generous and well seasoned.“
