The grilled meats were perfectly cooked, the rice was fresh and fragrant, and the appetizers were some of the best Persian food I’ve had in a long time.

“We are well acquainted with Syrian food having lived and traveled in the area and this food is very authentic. There is a good variety of mezze and it is all delicious. I liked the moussaka, which I had not had in a chopped form. The lamb with almonds was also new to me but I had eaten so much mezze I couldn't eat much but I liked it. My husband was still able to eat three kebabs of shish tauk (sp). The service was also friendly and excellent.“

“Came to Eva’s while visiting Montreal from Toronto and honestly loved it! We have a lot of great brunch spots in Toronto, so I had high expectations, and Eva’s definitely delivered. The food was delicious, the portions were great, and everything was fresh and full of flavour.
The vibe was really nice and the service was friendly without being over the top. Such a great little spot to enjoy a relaxed brunch. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Montreal — I’d happily come back next time I’m in the city!

“Al-Amin Restaurant in Montreal is amazing, especially the food. The pizza is delicious, perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and very satisfying. The shawarma is excellent—fresh, juicy, well-seasoned, and made with high-quality ingredients. Everything is beautifully presented, served hot, and clearly prepared with care. You can really taste the quality in every bite. If you’re going for the food alone, Al-Amin definitely delivers and is 100% worth it.“

First, it was the combination of lemon, mint, and zahtar - bright, savory, and deeply comforting all at once - that turned a simple meal into something quietly unforgettable.

But beyond the *incredible* dining experience, it was meeting and having the opportunity to speak with Sona that made the visit so beautifully special: her warmth, her stories, and her pride in Armenian culture made me feel both welcomed to Montreal and connected to a wider, generous global community.
