“I’m disabled and found it easy to walk into the place. It wasn’t overly crowded but had enough people to make it feel very lively! I started with the tortilla soup, then had the fish tacos and to drink I tried the strawberry Jarritos and a sip of their margarita which I’d have again on a warm day ☀️ Everything was delicious, the staff was patient and courteous. I felt very comfortable and I’m already planning my next visit for the springtime!“

Not only was the food 10/10 (amazing spicy sauce maison, and best fajitas I’ve ever had), but the service, and the bartender’s spicy

“This restaurant is so amazing. Everything is always fresh and so tasty, they always listen to notes I put when I order online.i use to be a Quesada fan but I switched to Calient-eh 100%. Only suggestion I have is to add more variety with the sauces available, although the Chipotle sauce is delicious and spicy.Prices are also very good. A+++ All around!“

“Imagine going back to your hometown after a while and going to your grandparents. That is El Amigo in a nutshell
Reservation by phone. On location, not a cat. Only us and the only staff/front of house/cook/etc. Menu: extensive. Atmosphere: drama in Spanish on the TV. Decor: inside your parents house. Not wheelchair accessible. Bring your own wine/beer. Food made on order. Came pretty quick. Good portions. Tasty. Had the restaurant for ourselves until 20:00 came. Then 11 + 2 came at once. Staff overwhelmed but did his job.
Good prices.
TL;DR: come with good company, good wine or beer, and patience and enjoy the pupusas.“

“10/10! So much fun!!! The carne molcajete was amazing, the drinks were incredible and the service was impecable. The restaurant is very beautiful as well. I would recommend this experience to anyone! I highly recommend the mezcal drinks as well as the horchata carajillo (it’s the perfect dessert)“

“I felt right at home. The food's awesome and totally worth what you pay. With a well-balanced flavor in the Pozole and Menudo, and a tasty variety of sauces to dress everything up. I totally recommend the Champurrado, with some Mexican-style bread. Great vibe and good music, plus awesome service. I hope they keep this quality up and keep getting better.“

“KEYLEE - probably the best server I’ve ever had. If you want someone to adapt to your personality, ask for her. If you need someone to ask how your food is every 10 minutes, or if you need someone to leave you to enjoy your cocktail for 20 minutes, she’s got you. Beautiful and elegant, 10/10. She deserves the world. The food, obviously amazing never disappoints. BUT KEYLEE - we were in a rush and she catered to our every need - came back for her x“

“Several weeks ago I had a bad experience with fish that was extremely disappointing. However, when I called and complained, after apologizing profusely, they guaranteed that they would make it up to me on my next visit. I picked up our diner again a couple of weeks ago and I could not believe their great professional attitude about the previous event, giving me a credit on the new order, all the food was absolutely amazing. We will definitely go again and I highly recommend it for an excellent family dinner and great personnel.“

“Delicious and tasty foods, healthy… quick eats! After a day like today, of working hard fixing things and having to come do errands in Laval (I live about 1 hour and a half up north). It’s nice to have a good meal and not another fastfood… it’s nice that you close at 9… but 10 would be nice for us, « out of towners » that need to shop till 9 pm… :-) This was my first shrimp burrito… the flavours we great. Totopos chips and guacamole was a nice side dish. The guacamole dip… finally a restaurant that gives you a good portion and not one of those small portions… small simple menu, means fresh food and it definitely tasted fresh! Clean restrooms too. The place is just great. I’ll definitely be back, before 9 pm :-p (P.s.: I read another person before me complaining about prices on Google… if you feel like cooking at home… that’s the only way to save… but if you feel like going out and have great food, at a fun clean place & service… you know, you got to spend a little and living in Quebec in 2022, nothing is cheap… I paid about 26$ for a big thick burrito, good portion of chips and guacamole and a soft drink. I even took some chips home. If you compare the quality of food here to a famous fast-food restaurant chain… I spent 26$, but I enjoyed and I feel good and no heartburn or other side effects of eating lots. I’m happy and full, ain’t that what counts?).“
“As a visitor from Toronto, I was craving some mexican food so I decided to come here and the food was amazing!!! Me and 2 friends got the birria tacos, queso birria tacos and the al pastor tacos along with some drinks. The rice as a side was a good addition to, so I highly recommend choosing that as a side. Will definitely come back here when I return to Montreal.“
