“Vicky’s is dangerous… in the best way 😂 Since it was my first time I had a sample of the oxtail and curry goat and it was over! I was ready to order the whole menu. The oxtail? Fall-off-the-bone perfection. The curry goat? Rich, flavorful, and absolutely worth the hype. And the cow soup?? Soul-warming, healing, life-affirming goodness.

Everything was so delicious I genuinely had to talk myself out of buying one of everything. If you love real Jamaican food made with love, this is the spot. Highly recommended, and yes, I’ll definitely be back (with a bigger appetite). 🇯🇲🔥 Patricia is carrying on her mother’s legacy for sure 💕“

“On November 1st I had my birthday 🎂 party. It was fantastic. The team was excellent, easy going and most of all a stress free party. Babita & her team provides you with the best of the best service. “I tried the curry goat roti with pumpkin, the pumpkin was such an amazing touch. Their homemade pepper sauce was also unlike anything else I’ve ever tried. One of the best roti’s in the city but I just wish it was a bigger portion. I’m excited to try more of the menu.“

When we called to get help, they basically said it wasn’t their problem and we need to take it up with the third party they use for online orders. “One of the only griot places I've ever eaten from where the pasta salad was not only properly seasoned but actually good. Griot itself was very good, and they had the meat itself in sauce as well as a sauce cup on the side, most places you never have enough sauce. Downside being if you don't keep the takeout box perfectly flat sauce spills out. The djon djon rice unfortunately had a bunch of rock hard chunks in it, like it had sat out drying in the steam table uncovered. Otherwise a very good meal and good value.“

“Had the oxtail at Tropical Paradise and it was excellent — truly fall-off-the-bone tender and full of flavor. Everything tasted fresh, the portion size was generous, and the service was incredibly fast. I barely had time to sit down before the food came out. On top of that, the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Solid spot if you’re looking for great Caribbean comfort food in Montreal. I’ll definitely be back.“

“I've been here twice and the food is full of flavour. It's a fusion of bajan and Jamaican cuisine. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere of the restaurant is vibrant and unique. If you want to satisfy your cravings, the oxtail and jerk chicken are really good. The pepper sauce is spicy and delicious!“

We were visiting from Florida and decided to stop by Dutty Yea — what a fantastic choice! We were so impressed by both the taste and the presentation of the dishes. We ordered the Dutty Nonnie and the Pon Pon Jerk, and both were absolutely delicious — perfectly seasoned, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. You can tell a lot of care goes into every plate. We also enjoyed the ice cream, vanilla and vanilla/raspberry swirl, and they were both so good! I highly recommend both dishes and the ice cream, and can’t wait to visit again the next time we’re in town!“

“I was buying these delicious patty’s from before there was a location. Absolutely the best patty’s I’ve ever had. I lived in Montreal for over 30 years but moved back home to Nova Scotia. We come back every Summer and bring a few dozen patty’s home. Best price per dozen anywhere!“

“I’m surprised by the low rating. This place makes amazing griot. The meat is tender and flavorful, the rice and beans are great, and the macaroni salad balances everything perfectly. They include a tasty sauce (probably meat juices), and the large portion is worth the extra $3. It’s my go-to for griot. Highly recommend! I will try to had pictures next time I order.“

“Visited here on a return trip with my 14yr old to show him my go to spot for patties and Rock cake back in the 90's. Sadly though the patties aren't the same anymore but I'm happy to say the rock cake is just as good as I remember, you can still smell the aroma of them baking in back of the store just like I remember as a kid growing up. This is a must stop for me to grab a few packs of rock cake to take back to Toronto.“
