“I tried the curry goat roti with pumpkin, the pumpkin was such an amazing touch. Their homemade pepper sauce was also unlike anything else I’ve ever tried. One of the best roti’s in the city but I just wish it was a bigger portion. I’m excited to try more of the menu.“

“The food was so amazing, it was hard not to give 5 stars! However, we ordered through their website site and the amount charged to my card was higher than the receipt on their website. When we called to get help, they basically said it wasn’t their problem and we need to take it up with the third party they use for online orders. Kind of put a damper on our great meal being on hold with a third party point of sales system company:/ All said, though, the food is incredible and I’d suggest ordering in person!“

“I tried 2 dishes from the menu. The goat double, and the fried rice x Oxtail (and a limonade). My favourite was the double. The chickpea and the meat were cooked in a delicious sauce, really reminded me of “Massalé” in La Réunion. The cucumber salade was so good on top. I like the oxtail, but I’m so bad with bone lol. The cook she was so nice ! She asked me if I was from Mauritius, she was almost right ! Long live to Indian Ocean people !!

“We enjoy playing the Blues for everyone at Kwizinn Vieux-Montreal every 2nd Thursday. We love the people, the staff, the decor, and the delicious food. We highly recommend it.“

“I ordered the jerk chicken, with brown rice and peas, and plantain. The chicken was done well, with a little kick to it, but not too much. The plantain was cooked well and not dried out. The rice was good but missing gravy which makes a big difference. Make sure to ask for gravy! Other than that, the price was very good.“

“One of the only griot places I've ever eaten from where the pasta salad was not only properly seasoned but actually good. Griot itself was very good, and they had the meat itself in sauce as well as a sauce cup on the side, most places you never have enough sauce. Downside being if you don't keep the takeout box perfectly flat sauce spills out. The djon djon rice unfortunately had a bunch of rock hard chunks in it, like it had sat out drying in the steam table uncovered. Otherwise a very good meal and good value.“

“Had the oxtail at Tropical Paradise and it was excellent — truly fall-off-the-bone tender and full of flavor. Everything tasted fresh, the portion size was generous, and the service was incredibly fast. I barely had time to sit down before the food came out. On top of that, the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Solid spot if you’re looking for great Caribbean comfort food in Montreal. I’ll definitely be back.“

“Super friendly place, particularly the guy running it. It's been years since I had a roti, and this place makes a really good one. Definitely worth trying out if you're in the mood for some Caribbean food. I'll be going back to get some jerk chicken and to try the fish cakes.“

We were visiting from Florida and decided to stop by Dutty Yea — what a fantastic choice! We were so impressed by both the taste and the presentation of the dishes. We ordered the Dutty Nonnie and the Pon Pon Jerk, and both were absolutely delicious — perfectly seasoned, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. You can tell a lot of care goes into every plate. We also enjoyed the ice cream, vanilla and vanilla/raspberry swirl, and they were both so good! I highly recommend both dishes and the ice cream, and can’t wait to visit again the next time we’re in town!“

“That's a very nice place for a great date or anniversary, I phoned at the last minute for reservation, Marly took care of me, got their with my girlfriend, table was set, very nice welcomed, food was perfect, ambiance with soft jazz, although waits for the food was extŕemely long, she came once to ask if everything was ok, downside of this place is also very expensive for a three course meal. Support our brothers n sisters business. If you are patient for the waits😉“
