“I tried the curry goat roti with pumpkin, the pumpkin was such an amazing touch. Their homemade pepper sauce was also unlike anything else I’ve ever tried. One of the best roti’s in the city but I just wish it was a bigger portion. I’m excited to try more of the menu.“

“We’ve been coming here for 5 years and they NEVER disappoint. Meat is always tender and falls right off the bone, plantains are juicy and rice is delicious and well seasoned. Whenever we’re in the are this place is a MUST. Prices are reasonable for portion sizes and i personally recommend their pork!“

“When I say I crave this food deadly since eating here I mean it. We had the jerk wings and the jerk poutine. There were probably more curds than fries in the poutine, what more can you ask for? The chicken wings were huge. The jerk spices were amazing. Will deffinetly keep recommending this place and we will be back soon! Literally drooling over it as I write this.“

“We were craving Jamaican food, looked for a well-rated restaurant on Google Maps and ended up at Faybee's. Faybee's Restaurant offers Caribbean cuisine and has many Jamaican dishes on the menu. One of the cooks is Jamaican.
We had the jerk chicken, which was one of the best we have eaten outside of Jamaica. It is grilled over charcoal, which brings the typical taste. Well seasoned but not too spicy. The sauce is served separately, with extra spice added. You can adjust the sharpness yourself, which we found very good. There are also rice and peas and fried plantain.
The portion is generous with the included small salad. We also had festivals that were similar to those we know from Jamaica. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside.
Faybee's Restaurant is more of a snack bar in size. There are 2 tables for 4 people each and 3 seats on bar stools by the window. In summer you can also sit outside. The decoration is like a diner in Jamaica. A lot of it is take away, so there is a lot of coming and going, but it's fun to watch. Faybee's Restaurant has many regular customers.
We received a very hospitable welcome and service and had an overall pleasant and enjoyable experience at Faybee's Restaurant in Montreal.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian dishes are also offered.
Parking: We came by bus, which stops almost in front of the door.“

“I've been thinking about this food ever since I had some weeks ago. I live about 1.5 hours north of Montreal, and this food makes me wish I never moved out of the city.
I love Caribbean food. I have tried every spot I've heard of in Montreal. I've loved two restaurants the most. One of them sadly closed down. The other place is this one.
I tried the Curry Goat, Jerk Chicken, Roti, Oxtail stew, pineapple tarts, Chow Mein and those awesome donut-like desert things and they were all excellent. I ordered all this at one time. I had food for days, but it wasn't enough.I can't wait to get back for more food.
House of Taste is delicious. Food has great flavour, no fillers, not oily, not overly salty. Taste like home cooking, and makes me miss my mom.
The service is genuine and friendly. The owners love what they do, and it shows.
Yes, you should eat at this restaurant. No, this is not a fake review.“

“Wow, waited in the car while my lady got the food. Did not take long at all , was not fast food at all ?. Fresh, tasty, hot & flavourful. We got a goat roti & doubles. The doubles were delicious, the chutney was amazing I think it was mango chutney. Gave it a nice sweetness but wasn’t overpowering. The goat roti was very flavourful, the goat wasn’t tough at all. Would definitely recommend & next time we’re getting a plate ??“
“OMG the taste of it! clean and spotless restaurant the taste of the food is really good and the portions its really good for a reasonable price the flavor is delicious like its name of the restaurant I highly recommend you to experience and visit!“

“The 4.8 rating is well deserved. I loved the oxtail and curry goat ... Good portions and perfectly seasoned for my tastes. The meat was well trimmed leaving a little bit but not too much fat. The chef skimmed off the melted fat from the gravy leaving just a little. You get a separate big plate of rice and two slices of sweet plantain and a small coleslaw with each main dish.
The "dining area" looks like it's set up to be a juice bar with stools. I guess you could eat at the bar counter but i would only take out or have food delivered.“

“Super friendly place, particularly the guy running it. It's been years since I had a roti, and this place makes a really good one. Definitely worth trying out if you're in the mood for some Caribbean food. I'll be going back to get some jerk chicken and to try the fish cakes.“

“Just ordered a plate from here on Uber eats and felt compelled to write a review right away. This is hands down the best jerk chicken in the sud ouest area. Tender and juicy meat with crispy, well seasoned skin. The plantain was fresh and fried to perfection. Absolute banger and definitely going to order here again soon❤️✅“

“Best Carribean food I've had in 25 years!!!
Took recommendations for goat rotie and I couldn't eat the whole thing, so delicious ? and homemade hot sauce (scotch bonnets??) was worth the extra heat! ??
Took the rest home for lunch or Kate night snack. Recommend you get off the Decarie for this.“

“Good sticky rice and the griot is delicious, I prefer the crispy plantain for example and the macaroni salad not enough because it is as good as everything else :), I take off a star for inconsistency (Monday it was rather dry) and the great griot lacked rice!!!!“

“This is one of the best Caribbean restaurants in the city and their food is great… however their macaroni pie is not. The flavour is good but I paid $6 for a VERY small portion. I’d wish they actually gave you what you’re paying for because I’ve never been to a restaurant and given such a small portion in all my life…“
“Visited here on a return trip with my 14yr old to show him my go to spot for patties and Rock cake back in the 90's. Sadly though the patties aren't the same anymore but I'm happy to say the rock cake is just as good as I remember, you can still smell the aroma of them baking in back of the store just like I remember as a kid growing up. This is a must stop for me to grab a few packs of rock cake to take back to Toronto.“

“I ordered a goat roti, it was delicious but i don’t like the potato stuffing along with the meat. The amazing thing being the server got me the package as soon as done with the order formalities ?. The place is cool with some nice portraits. Summary - my best caribbean restaurant in Montreal? until now.“

“Excellent cocktails and super comfy sofas. Staff is mostly nice, can be a bit dry when it's very busy but that's to be expected.
It's also nice the the music volume is just perfect, not so loud that you can't have a conversation.“
