“Great neighbourhood restaurant offering a variety of classic Korean dishes. Family friendly and affordable. Food is always consistently good. They also have Korean beer and soju, which is appreciated at the end of the week!“

The bowl came in super hot and sizzling!The chopped vege tastes fresh and sauce not overly spicy, a bit salty though.
The portion could be bigger otherwise may not be fulfilling enough for some.
Overall a budget friendly quick meal in a casual atmosphere, will drop by sometime again to try other items on their menu.“

“The total for 6 people was 176$ and we had a reservation. Overall, we had a good experience at Daldongnae Korean BBQ on Bishop. The restaurant was packed, but most of the staff were incredibly friendly, patient, and attentive.

One thing that surprised us was that they could not divide the bill according to what each person ordered. Our only options were to split it evenly or pay everything on one bill, which was inconvenient for a group.

At one point, the manager refused to give us another round of side dishes and came across as somewhat rude. Thankfully, another waiter stepped in and brought them to us, which we really appreciated. Aside from the manager’s attitude and the billing policy, the service was great and the rest of the staff made the experience enjoyable.“

I lived in Montreal for five long years in Côte-des-Neiges (same neighbourhood as Chez Lee )and only came across this gem 2 years before leaving. Everything about this restaurant is AMAZING! “I've been there for dinner many times. I'm a vegetarian and the veggie options there are excellent. The bibimbap is not only the best bibimbap I've ever had, it's one of the best things I've ever tasted! Also superb is the Sundubu Jjigae, a spicy tofu stew. The veggie dumplings are nice and the spring rolls are good but nothing special. It's a tiny charming restaurant with a great rain-proof patio. A favourite Montreal restaurant for me.“

“What an amazing find it was stopping in at Restaurant Itaewon! We first stopped in for Soju and snacks, and returned a few days later for lunch. The beef dumplings are a must try. The pork bibimbap was tasty with just the right amount of spice, and the fried chicken was nice and crispy, even after being drenched in sauce. The food was delicious but the customer service was really what stood out. Our waiter remembered us from our first visit and was so kind, helpful and has amazing customer service. We will come back next time we’re in MTL.“

“Warm and friendly service by the lady at the front counter. Nice springy homemade noodles. Wish I could finish it if I didn't have to watch my carbs intake. Fresh ingredients. Place is clean. Korean songs are on but not loud enough, so one can still talk. Only thing the beef for the noodles was a bit tough/chewy, but maybe I didn't know how to appreciate it. There was plenty of proteins and greens in the serving.“

People with me tried the Bibimbap (both versions) and loved it as well. The staff was lovely and attentive. “The Kimchi 7B Beef was good overall. I’m not sure why they replaced the paper bowls with handles with plastic ones.they get very hot and the old ones were much more practical.

Also, the beef didn’t taste the same as before. The color looked a bit pale, and it was missing the flavor I remember. Maybe they’ve changed the meat or it’s from a new supplier. Next time, I’ll probably order the chicken instead.“

“Kui is honestly my go-to Korean BBQ spot in Verdun! We always have such a great time here, and the service is consistently excellent. I also love that it’s BYOW, which makes it such a fun spot for a date night or dinner with friends.

Prices vary depending on whether you visit during the week or on the weekend, and the weekend menu has a few extras that are definitely worth trying.

The brisket is a MUST for me — sliced super thin, tender, and so good every single time. This visit we also tried the cheesy corn for the first time and loved it. And if you’re there on the weekend, definitely get the salmon tartare! It was fresh, flavorful and absolutely delicious.
