“I ordered a pho boef saegnant with vegetables and OMG it was delicious😍The veggies were so fresh and varied and the taste of the pho was so great, good amount of noodles and beef. It was more than perfect!!! Loved it :) the staff is super friendly and the place has such a calm vibe with soft calming instrumental music. I am happy to have discovered this place. I will be coming back soon! 🫶🏻“

“Ate here alone lately, maybe a week or two ago. It wasn't my first time eating here but it had been a while so I decided to try it again. You have to enter the back of the building, and the menu is outside as well as inside so if you are not satisfied with the prices you don't have to awkwardly leave the restaurant, perfect for the social anxious. not that it would be much of a problem, the prices are great for what you are getting!! upon entering I was greeted by a sweet old lady and she was very accommodating when I asked to to be seated further away because where she wanted to make me sit it was too cramped. she served me a glass of ice water and even put the jug right next to me! the wait was long maybe 15 to 30 mins for the meal with no Wifi but its definitely worth it! The portions are great and the food oh so delicious!! so delicious it made me like the (surprise!) mushrooms in my stir fry when I usually hate mushrooms.?‍ it was chicken that melts in your mouth, delicious veggies that imbibed with the sweet and sour sauce, served with a side of vermicelli and a weird crunchy fried rice thing i forgot the name. The guy was a bit cold but he wasn't straight up rude, maybe he was just shy like me.??‍♀️ Anyways upon paying he didn't try to sneakily slip an overcharge of a few extra dollars like some other family owned restaurants tried in the past with me like that pizza place one time. I calculated everything in front of the menu at the entrance and it was exactly what he charged me, very convenient and right. I gave them 5$ tips on my 20$ meal plus 1,30$ on the Buddha for good luck ?. anyways this review is getting long but all that said I would DEFINATELY recommend!!? ?“

The phở Tái was good, with soft light-textured noodles, but the broth was overpowered by star anise. The cà phê sữa đá lacked the bold flavor expected of a traditional Vietnamese coffee.“

It was PACKED with flavours and meat and if you can handle the spice, try going for the spicy option as they have a complimentary bubble tea with every Banh Mí. It’s a great place to try out good Vietnamese food in the city of Montreal.“

“If you want to have a basic meal in the center of Montreal, go to this place. It's located inside a big building at a food court with few other vendors, so you will get some choice. The meals are quite basic, pho soup is not as sophisticated as in other restaurants, but it's a good budget place to eat when you are touring Montreal. Walk around, there is a beautiful passage with a glass roof and a fountain, also some shops.

“This is my favourite Village restaurant. Their food is so fresh and delicious, and their prices are very fair. They pull this off despite having a huge menu. Their sushi is my favourite but their bahn mi and poke bowls are great as well.

It’s mainly a takeout restaurant, even if you sit down you’re getting your food in takeout containers. If you want a more formal experience I’d recommend other places, but if you care about getting the best tasting sushi THIS is the spot.“

“Pho Bac 97 has always been one of my favorite spots whenever I visit Montreal. It is right in Chinatown, which made it really easy to get to since our hotel was only a few minutes away.

The people here are honestly the best part. The owner, the male staff, and Hannah were so sweet and welcoming. They made us feel at home right away and it’s clear they can connect with anyone because they switch so easily between English, French, Vietnamese, Chinese, and probably even more languages. That kind of warmth really makes a difference.

We ordered two Pho Dac Biet XL bowls and one Bi Cuon roll, and with taxes and tip it came to around $50 for the two of us. The food was comforting, flavorful, and authentic. As someone who is part Vietnamese, I really appreciate when a restaurant captures those traditional flavors, and this one absolutely does. At the end they even gave us fortune cookies, which was such a simple but thoughtful little touch.

I’ll be honest, there is a strong smell around the bathroom area that can be a bit distracting, maybe from the age of the building or cleaning issues, but it didn’t take away from how kindly we were treated.

“We went to eat this evening after leaving Montreal. We wanted Vietnamese and/or Thai after 3 weeks of hospital food! A Google search and a click later, we stopped at this restaurant!
The food was excellent, we ate everything on our plates! The employees or probably the owners were very nice and smiling! I even left a 25% tip because good service has become rarer.
$69 for two with tip included!
We will definitely stop again! ??

Fast service despite the time and our group of 14. The owner tried to place us on the terrace instead of inside. The temperature was ideal, we had asked him to be placed outside with 2 hours' notice. No wonder this restaurant has received so much praise all this time!
