Boulangerie Ange - Humaniti Reviews
I tried their berry cheesecake. It was awesone! Fluffy and delectable with a caramel water crust. Their quiche Lorraine was a treat! Only issue was when I ordered the pastry and coffee special and was charged $1 more because it's cheesecake. Sounds like another Montreal bullshit story. I asked why it's $1 more? 4 staffers gathered around like a major world event had occurred. Then they said cause it's cheesecake. They were not so friendly either. Boulangerie Ange - Humaniti is a bakery located in a nice building near Palais des Congrès, offering a variety of delicious pastries, sandwiches, desserts, and coffee. The bakery is known for its fresh, high-quality products like almond croissants, pain au chocolat, apple turnovers, and puff pastries, which are all praised for their flavor and freshness. The pastries are often highlighted as excellent, even if they tend to shrink over the years. The bakery also serves a tasty quiche Lorraine and berry cheesecake, with the cheesecake receiving special praise.
The on-site dining area provides a comfortable space for lunch or snacks, making it a convenient option for nearby events. The chocolate tart and other desserts are well-liked, and the variety of options makes it a popular choice. However, some customers find the food to be overpriced, with sandwiches costing around $10 to $12 and sometimes tasting average or feeling a bit old. A few reviews mention pastries past their date, and the service is often described as average or disinterested, with some staff appearing unfriendly or unhelpful.
Parking is limited in the area, and the automatic coffee machine is often criticized for bitter taste. Overall, Boulangerie Ange - Humaniti offers good pastries and a pleasant setting, but improvements in service and consistency could enhance the experience.
