“Tommy Café is a beautiful spot with a stylish two-floor interior that’s definitely worth seeing. However, it gets extremely crowded and personally, I didn’t enjoy the coffee. Still, it’s a nice place to visit at least once for the atmosphere.“

“This place has a lovely vibe. The owner is energetic and very kind, and the food is yummy. I had the truffle Benedict, I subbed the bacon for smoked salmon - I love eggs, Benedict and this was a nice version of it. My partner had the Shakshuka royale, which was so good. Make sure to ask about dietary restrictions - we were told all ingredients were listed, although I’m not sure if that was the case for the Shaksuka, pretty sure there was dairy despite it not being listed, my partner did get an upset stomach afterwards. On the bright side, they were very much enjoying the meal during! This platter was clearly very special and popular.“

“What a AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Thomas and Steven have procured some of the finest things to offer. We ordered The King Afternoon Tea. Everything offered was completely delicious, and made in house. I have food allergies and they even made a few changes for me. Hibiscus’s based tea from Fortnum and Mason was they perfect compliment to scones, mini quiche, beetroot mimosa egg and other sweet and savory treats. I even iced my tea. Service was beyond GOOD. Give yourself a HIGH TEA moment.“

“Started last Friday’s day off with a stop at the amazing Cafe dei Campi. Fully veganized Italian pastries and small pizzas. Soups and salads too but I stuck to the Italian specialties. Hazelnut filled tortellini melt in your mouth pastries. Amarettis and Biscotti. The essential Italian cafe’s big espresso machine which makes the perfect double espresso with the layer of crema and their cappuccino with perfect foam. Accompanied with a flaky delicious cornetto, it felt like heaven. Much chatting with my friend and a necessary second cornetto and espresso completed our visit by closing time. We had lucked out with a table. Had a great rest of the day that right from the start, arriving at the cafe there was a couple with their little boy wearing a Metallica t-shirt. Of course I had to comment, he was so cute and responsive to my speaking to him. And found out he’s a true fan of heavy metal music, this beautiful 4 year old boy named Sandro. So the day was pretty perfect.🖤“

“Love this café. Espresso is consistently well prepared and dialed in, baked goods are solid, and of course you have 10+ roasters to choose from for freshly roasted coffee. My only nitpick would be that I wish the house roaster's beans were available as espresso on rotation. The house blend is good but I've had some mind blowing espresso here and I want more lol.“

“This is a very good boulangerie located along Mont-Royal Ave East that is open from 7am to 6pm daily. They have a fair sized indoor seating area, many visitors seem to pop in for morning take-away. There was a short queue when we arrived 7.30am midweek. You'll find a nice range of mostly French style breads, tarts, pastries and bakery products. We particularly liked their quiche and almond filled croissants. Coffees served up on the day were very good as well. This seemed like a great boulangerie, one we'd like visit regularly if we lived in the area. Would gladly revisit next time in Montreal.“

J'ai pris une soupe avec du porc, suggérée par la serveuse (qui était super gentille et nous conseillait vraiment bien). Le porc était si tendre que je le coupais avec mes baguettes. La souper était tellement gouteuse. Des saveurs que je n'avais jamais expérimentées et tout cela dans un petit resto super sympathique. Les prix sont plus que raisonnables. “This place is EXACTLY what we hope look for when we’re on vacation: A casual, non-pretentious place with food that is absolutely delicious! I enjoyed the charcuterie Panino and my wife had a Porchetta panino. Both were literally the best paninis we’ve had in North America and much of Italy. They both featured a special “relish” (for lack of a better word) that was a mix of lettuce, peppers pearl onions and exquisite seasoning. I wish I could have that on every sandwich I eat - forever! The mixtures is both exceptionally tasty and a bit spicy. When I took my first bite it was like a party in my mouth! I knew almost immediately that it was one of the best sandwiches that I’d ever had. Then my wife gave me a bite of her porchetta panino and THAT was even better. The seasoning on that pork just exploded my taste buds… and I’m not even a big fan of pork. One of the keys to the greatness of these sandwiches is the amazing bread. It has a perfect combination of a delicious, delicate center with a perfect, gourmet-crunchy crust. Not too hard or thick, but just right for marrying with the perfection of the ingredients.
Not to be outdone were the staff! They were all every bit as wonderful as the food, and so welcoming and helpful. My wife and I truly can’t recommend the Parma Café enough. They served us a meal that we kept reflecting on with great fondness the rest of our trip. In fact, there is a very famous deli in Montreal called Schwartz’s which is known around the world for its amazing sandwiches. We ate there the day before and it was, indeed, good , but if I had to choose between the two, I’d eat at Parma Café hands down every time. Enjoy.“

“This is a really location for a coffee shop on the ground floor of the Royal Bank Tower along Rue Saint-Jacques. There is a fair amount of indoor seating in a charming early 20th-century bank or even rail station like environs. They have work areas you can rent for longer stays and you can do take-away as well. We found the queue fairly long when we arrived on a Monday afternoon. Waited around 15 minutes to arrive at order counter. Americano was ok, Allonge better and Cortado probably the best drink on the day. Lemon slice served with cake was fine. On the whole, the coffee and afternoon snack were ok at Crew Collective, had better elsewhere in Montreal during this particular trip but the environs here are great. This is a really neat place to sit and enjoy a cup of joe if you get the chance.“
