One thing I really appreciate is how efficient the staff are ⏱️☕️. Even if I only have 5 minutes to spare, I can always count on getting my coffee on time without stress. That alone makes this place a lifesaver on busy days 🙌

The quality is consistently very good, definitely better than the nearby Olimpico in terms of taste. The beans were Ethiopian, which really showed through with brighter, cleaner flavors 🌍✨ However, I do have to say that the barista experience felt a bit limited — no real explanation or engagement about the beans or brew method, which felt like a missed opportunity.

One big issue for me:
When serving coffee in ceramic cups, the cups should be preheated 🔥☕️. Unfortunately, they weren’t — and the coffee cooled down way too fast. That’s a pretty significant downside, especially when you’re serving good-quality beans 😕❄️

That said, the staff are always kind, friendly, and genuinely warm 😊🤍. Beyond making great coffee, they really stand out when something unexpected happens — spills, confused customers, or anyone needing extra help. They step in quickly, graciously, and without attitude, which says a lot about the place 👏

“Stopped by here on a weeknight after work and grabbed a seat by the window, which turned out to be perfect for people watching on the street below. The oat milk latte was smooth and not too sweet, and the almond croissant they recommended was still warm from the oven. Staff were friendly and didn't rush me even though I stayed almost two hours working on my laptop. Great spot to unwind mid week before heading back out to explore more of the city.“

“Le Café Magda est bien plus qu’un simple café. C’est un véritable point de rencontre pour tout le quartier, un endroit où l’on se sent chez soi dès qu’on franchit la porte. Nous sommes vraiment chanceux de l’avoir dans le Bronx, car il contribue pleinement à la vie du quartier et crée un esprit de communauté précieux. A man in big white coat, blue hat and A bigger woman in a black coat . She blocked the purse and the man sat next to it. Can happen anywhere but just alerting you to it. Management was great at responding and will keep an eye out. Nothing was taken. Whew.“

“Started last Friday’s day off with a stop at the amazing Cafe dei Campi. Fully veganized Italian pastries and small pizzas. Soups and salads too but I stuck to the Italian specialties. Hazelnut filled tortellini melt in your mouth pastries. Amarettis and Biscotti. The essential Italian cafe’s big espresso machine which makes the perfect double espresso with the layer of crema and their cappuccino with perfect foam. Accompanied with a flaky delicious cornetto, it felt like heaven. Much chatting with my friend and a necessary second cornetto and espresso completed our visit by closing time. We had lucked out with a table. Had a great rest of the day that right from the start, arriving at the cafe there was a couple with their little boy wearing a Metallica t-shirt. Of course I had to comment, he was so cute and responsive to my speaking to him. And found out he’s a true fan of heavy metal music, this beautiful 4 year old boy named Sandro. “was buying starbucks' true north blonde roast for awhile. my place of work brews the veranda blend where i got introduced to light roast coffee. had no idea blonde roast even existed to be honest. noticed 49th parallel had a light roast variety of their own. bought a bag of epic espresso just to sample it but i keep coming back for more. excellent coffee and my new favorite ! ☕“

Also on the receipt you cannot see how much you paid for each article. Only a total price.
This gives them the liberty to set a price on the spot.
