The food here is amazingggg! Omg DELICIOUS!!! I still think about this spot and I live in Toronto sooooo it’s def gonna be a spot I hit up every time I head to mtl. The owner is sooo friendly and I asked if she could make a plate with a little bit of everything and she was so down to do it! She even charged me the regular plate price! France Resto Bar offers amazing and delicious food that keeps customers coming back. The owner and staff are very friendly, warm, and welcoming. The Griot is a standout, served with a tasty meat sauce, and is fresh, crispy, and tender. Another favorite is the Bouillon, which is absolutely delicious with well-balanced flavors and a nice, thick sauce. The rice with beans is tasty, and the gravy sauce is also nice and thick. The salad is simple green leaf lettuce and could be improved. The space needs some care but is an awesome spot with great people. The owner, France, works with her mother Denise and is known for being generous, even making custom plates at the regular price. A Braised beef dish from the Too Good to Go App is phenomenal. Located on Papineau near Beaubien, this new restaurant is a wonderful addition to the area, and customers will definitely be regulars.
