I have celebrated EVERY major milestone, minor milestone and minor inconvenience in my life (since moving to Montreal 4 years ago) with the thali combo and samosa from Bombay Express on St Lau. I do not know any place that offers such incredible value for money, while producing such delicious food. I have tried every single Indian food place in the Plateau and have not found one I like more. I have recommended it to ALL of my friends and they are regular customers now as well. “I got my order delivered and the food was excellent! I ordered a butter chicken and a paneer makhani with their naan breads, everything was to die for. Just spicy enough, full of flavor and light. I also had chicken wings, I think they were a little undercooked because the meat did not come off the bone easily but in terms of flavor, nothing to say. “Being an Indian and a foodie, I am always looking for authentic Indian restaurants, and this one definitely made it to one of my favs. I was surprised to see dishes like Laal Maas and Gatta Curry on the menu!!! Kudos to the owner for the bold move of adding authentic Rajasthani cuisine in the menu!
I ordered
dahi kebab = soft inside, crispy outside, perfect chutneys on the side. Melts in the mouth!
Basil Chicken tikka= soft and juicy with the perfect blend of basil and spices.
Laal Maas= Indian level spicy so be careful! If you can handle the heat you need to try this dish! Will definitely go back for it!
Panner methi churma = rich sauce, soft paneer, perfect amount of methi!
Paan kulfi = MUST TRY!!!! This made me nostalgic and brought me back to India! The flavors of meetha paan are perfect in this kulfi!!!
