I ate there last year while I was visiting Montreal. It was like stepping back in time to the 60's. The same neighborhood people eating there, the same traditional Cantonese menu, all done very well without an ounce of pretense.
Once a really good Chinese restaurant on the level of the old Yangtze restaurant on Van Horn. But they closed and Pékin Garden moved to the east side of queen Mary road and since that they just don’t seem to have that same quality.It’s a decent place to eat but it’s not a place you have a nice dinner out meal with family or a date. Very nice place inside. But the man was rude and irritable. The food was bland, ordered fried rice and tofu. The tofu seemed to be stale and difficult to chew on because it was so overcooked/fried.
