Ruby Rouge Reviews
Very large Hall type of restaurant serving dim sum. The food is excellent, the service is quite good ladies pushing dim sum carts. The restaurant is very large.

There's several trolleys roving around serving a good variety of dim sum: steamed, fried, etc. The service is quite surly, but we always got the food we wanted and some of the servers would go off looking in other trolleys if we couldn't see the dish...read full review

Ruby Rouge is an authentic dim sum restaurant in Montreal that offers a lively and spacious dining experience. The restaurant features several trolleys that serve a variety of dim sum, including steamed and fried dishes, creating a traditional cart service atmosphere. Despite some servers being surly or gruff, the overall service is attentive enough to ensure guests get the dishes they want, and staff are willing to look for items on other trolleys when needed. The atmosphere is busy and vibrant, with a good buzz, making it suitable for groups and families. The food is consistently tasty, fresh, and rich in flavor, showcasing traditional Chinese cuisine with generous portions at very affordable prices. Signature dishes like salted spicy calamari, chicken, black beef, and garlic bok Choi are highly recommended. While the decor is sparse and the washrooms are a bit rundown, the restaurant maintains a clean and well-kept environment. Many visitors appreciate the authenticity and value of Ruby Rouge, with some returning after over 15 years of visits. Overall, it’s a place that delivers a satisfying, authentic, and memorable dim sum experience in Montreal.
