Café Buade Reviews
Stopped in here after a walking tour on a cold day in Old Quebec. Warm, cozy atmosphere. We ordered wings and poutine. Food was great.
My friend and I had a great lunch, we both enjoyed the greek salad and bruschetta. Service was great and they seemed to have a ton of options. Would definitely recommend while in Old Quebec!
We had a short time before our walking tour of old Quebec City. We were seated quickly, the waitress was kind and attentive, addressing our dietary restrictions (gluten-free) very diligently. We got coffee and breakfast sandwiches (both delicious), and were on our way with plenty of time to make our tour. Was definitely a place where you could hang, talk, eat and drink.

Café Buade is a local restaurant that offers a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The food is fresh, with the soup of the day being particularly delicious. The service is generally fast, and the staff are friendly, even for those who don't speak French. While one customer found the chicken poutine to be bland, with undercooked fries and a hair on the plate, another found the poutine to be just okay. Some customers noted that the fish and chips had no flavor and the club sandwich had little meat. However, the majority of reviews still praise the quality of the food, including the regular poutine and turnip soup. Prices are described as average, and the restaurant is a recommended dining destination. Despite some mixed experiences with specific meals like Egg Benedict and crepes, the restaurant maintains a welcoming vibe, with servers often noted for their personality and attentiveness.
