“My wife and I were in the lower town of old Quebec City during a very cold afternoon in December and wanted to find something to snack on. We came across this quaint and charming bar with a very limited menu and it worked out perfectly. Surprisingly, it was very quiet and not busy. My wife and I ordered a platter of olive tapenade, humus, and guacamole. It came with chips and pita bread. A couple of glasses of red wine and it was delightful. As I mentioned, there wasn't much of a menu but the selection of alcoholic beverages was above and beyond. The service was very friendly and welcoming. I learned one of the employees is a big hockey fan like me and we had a nice conversation about the Quebec Nordiques. The prices were very reasonable and it's a nice location to sit and chat. A nice find in the area!“
“Went here for a date and made reservations for 9 p.m. as I heard they get fairly busy. It is located in a sort of sketchy area as you do have to walk down an alley to get here. Since it is a speak easy it is a very discreet door you need to find. Once inside you are transported into a very cool, dim, busy atmosphere. There are booths and tables at the front but I sat in the back room which is much more intimate and quiet. Service was great and informative. Ordered a few cocktails (which are very creative and tasty.) Ordered a seafood platter which had a variety of items (tartare, sashimi, and oysters), great if you want to try different things and don't know what to get. The oysters were so good we ordered more separately. Also tried the mushroom dish (Mushroom 5 ways) but it was a littler underwhelming and I woudn't get again. Overall a really nice place for a date and good seafood. I would definitely recommend if you are in Montreal.“
