If you’re in the mood to eat a great tasting poutine, you never go wrong when you go to Ashton’s.
The fries are nice and crispy, the cheese curds are very squeaky, and the sauce is just right.
I tried their special winning poutine they created for “Poutine Week 2026” and it was so so delicious 🤤.
Their own branded Lager beer was also very good refreshing with my poutine.
The staff was really nice and the restaurant was clean and inviting.

“For fast food breakfast, A+ compared to U.S. options. Thick toast with choices of peanut butter or jelly, eggs cooked to order, bacon strips and real plates and silverware. The place was being heated in mid-July as if it was winter, but staff was courteous (willing to try their English) and outdoor seating was available to escape the indoor sauna.“

“There's a POULET ROUGE IN QUÉBEC CITY!!! Iwas SO SO HAPPY to stumble upon them at the Capital Mall!

I LOVE POULET ROUGE!!! I eat it at least twice per week.

The staff at the Capital Mall location were super friendly,especially the dude at the end of the line. The only down side is that they are right near the amusement park (like most of the restaurants) so it could get loud on a busy day. Enjoy!

“I took a Rosbif Chipotle there and it was delectable since the spiciness of the dish was complementing with the rosbif and the cheese. The fries were well cooked though a little bland for my taste. And the strawberry milkshake is slightly too sugary though I never drank a milkshake that good before.“

I would especially like to mention the staff — everything was great. Even though the entire menu was in French, our waiter kindly explained every dish we chose in English and made sure we understood everything.

“The McCopains welcomed us with open arms to Patch a Corner. We started the feast with 6 McPatch Patch bbq sauce. It patched a hole but we still had room for a regular Patch size Oreo McPatch.
In addition, one of the McCopains came to the aid of a customer who was pacing his way, even though he was not even coming to patch his hunger.
