“Best asian restaraunt on main st. Service is great and food menu is abundant. A much better choice than Kons down the road with rude servers. If your craving sushi or hibachi or the usual general tsaio's you will not be disapointed. I'd recommend the thai basil chicken or Mongolian beef.“

“A Mixed Bag

Jacky's Waterplace in Providence, RI, offers a delightful dining experience with fantastic food and exceptional service. The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff is attentive and friendly. However, there's a significant caveat: the treatment of the server by management left a sour taste in my mouth.

The food was simply delicious. From the appetizers to the entrees, everything was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The flavors were bold and satisfying, making for a memorable meal. The service was top-notch. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.

Unfortunately, the experience was marred by the way the server was treated by management. I witnessed firsthand what seemed to be a disrespectful and unprofessional interaction, which was disheartening. It's a shame that such a positive dining experience could be overshadowed by negative interactions behind the scenes.

Despite the unfortunate incident, I would still recommend Jacky's Waterplace. The food and service were outstanding, and I hope that management will take steps to improve the working environment for their staff.

Kid-friendliness: Not friendly towards kids unless they are adventurous in the world of sushi.“

“We Ordered dinner from China Gourmet tonight through Grubhub. When my dinner was delivered I realized I had accidentally ordered the wrong item through the Grubhub app. I called the restaurant to ask if I could bring back the wrong item for the correct item. Not only did they tell me to keep the incorrect item, but to stay home and they would deliver an entire complimentary meal of the correct item as a courtesy. Not only great food but great customer service !“

“This place is to die for! I went in with the expectation that this would just be another all you can eat sushi restaurant, but i was mistaken! The sushi was delicious while my drinks came in whenever i needed it, the bar was super clean and well taken care of the chinese bartender made my drinks with care and swiftness!“

“My friend, Scott, took me to Haruki last night for dinner, knowing that I’m OBSESSED with sushi, the same way he is. He insisted that it would be worth the drive from Rochester, MA (my location) to Cranston, raving, “It’s the BEST!” and promising me that I won’t be disappointed. I came here a few other times. I forgot how good this place was until I came back again today. The people are so nice. It’s so sad how this place is hidden and lowkey because the food is so amazing!!! They deserve more recognition.
I got a shrimp tempura and before Ive had their poke bowls and gyozas… when I tell you I haven’t been able to find a good authentic sushi spot in Rhode Island until now. I had already given them a tip BUT after eating, I had to go back in to give an even bigger tip!!!
I talked to the people as well and they’ve been open for 17 years. The people are from Haruki. They are really such good and genuine people and you can tell they make their food with love.

“When my wife and I looked at the place from the outside, we almost left. But we’re glad we didn’t. The restaurant inside was very nice and comfortable. The music choice was nice. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Our server Winnie was very nice and checked on us frequently. For appetizers The rock crab and gyoza are very good. The crab Rangoon is one of the best we’ve had. For lunch I ordered 3 maki rolls that were good. My wife got the bento box which had a big portion for a lunch. All together the bill was $50 which is really cheap for the amount of food we ordered. Will definitely be coming back.“

“When its good, none can compare. Literally been going here since day one and have witnessed its evolution from small and quaint to large and modern. Always have a great experience sitting at the bar...food is always on point, hot, fesh. Take out has been hit or miss and they do not pay attention to any adjustments like extra sauce...you have to be emphatic. I've had some wonky chicken here...don't know what it is but sometimes the texture is off...same with beef. Its hard to explain. Great chicken basil, Generals chicken, specify white meat, crispy pork, dumplings, tempura. I really like the establishment, and Jackie, the bartender is truly amazing, (she comes from a family of restrauntaurs). It can range from a 3-5 star experience.“

Tea was also good.Atmosphere is so simple & quiet, a relaxing place to wait for your sushi.I can see this place is busy with online/phone orders and door dash, the inside service was a bit slow, (hence the 4 stars) but once we got that delicious platter we forgot about the wait. “They have the best wings in town. The rice is old, it doesn't have a lot of flavor and its the kind of rice that gets hard, inedible after you put in the fridge or even after an hour honestly. Beef and broccoli tastes weird as well. But the wings!? DEFINETLY WORTH “
