“I stopped in to try Newport Sandwich Shop with new chef and menu. Oh my goodness, Eggplant Caprese Sandwich was so delicious. It reminded me of my grandmother's homemade recipe with thinly sliced eggplant and homemade marinara. Fried Mozzarella was also yummy. There's a deli counter with fresh chicken, tuna salad and potato salad. Soups made fresh daily. Fair prices. I'm happy to have this shop next door to the IRYS. Very friendly staff and inviting atmosphere.“

“This is a serious contender for the best sandwich I've ever had in my WHOLE LIFE. I got the hot honey basil chicken. It was amazing!!! The workers were also very patient and friendly.

My one complaint is that there's not a lot of places to sit (only 1 table inside, but a couple outside), which sucks if it's a chilly, windy day like when I went. There's not a lot of parking, either. But it's a 2 minute walk from Elms house parking lot, so it's not that bad.

We have been here twice, the first time, the ladies were super nice and fast.

The second time I ordered through the app and had my husband pick up. I ordered a veggie six inch and put extra of all the veggies. Sometimes when I ask this and get the sandwich and get home it still isn’t a lot. This time, opening up my sandwich I was so amazed! Whoever made it did a great job and it was very clean as well. I just noticed on my receipt, whoever made it wrote “tried my best, lol” on my part of the order. I hope whoever wrote that and made my sandwich reads this so they can know that you did a great job! Thank you!“
