Love the Thurbers Ave location, great food, good service and nice dine out patio. Unfortunately, had a not so great experience with the takeout from the Hartford Ave foodtruck twice. Food did not have the same flavor, it was cold upon arrival and it wasn't made with the same pride as Thurber's Ave. I've also read that their consume comes from an area where it's made less thick and more watery which is also kind of a miss when it comes to your taco not being fully coated in juicy...read full review
Came for taco takeout as apart of the RI Food Fights passport promotion and received two birria tacos a side of birria consommé. The consommé was amazing and the tacos were pretty good although I would have preferred them to have a bit more salt which is strange as I find Mexican food to be generally salty but I see this as a benefit to those who are watching their sodium intake. It was good before but now the consommé for the birria tacos looks very like water and has no flavor. The tacos don't brown them very well and there have been two occasions where they forget to add the consommé for the tacos.
