“This was my first time here. I came here twice in one day. I was visiting from out of town. My first visit was in the afternoon to have lunch with an old friend. Our waitress was very, very kind and really good at her job. My second visit of the day was for dinner with my brother and his wife and kids. Our server was very accommodating and very patient with us as we were waiting for my sister-in-law. We didn't know if she was coming or not. The food was phenomenal for both visits. One evening a year or two before Covid, about halfway through a five-hour road trip, we stopped in for an early dinner. Things were quiet and we had a chance to chat with Chef Branden Read's mom, who shared the story of how he ended up opening the establishment. To get the whole story, you'll have to stop by at a quiet time and hopefully catch him to hear it first hand, but you should be ready for disappointment, for there aren't that many quiet times these days.

Having been eating here since 2010, I can speak with the perspective of long experience when I say that the food has been consistently excellent -- creative, frequently updated and well-executed. The Baby Back Ribs (a menu staple, thank goodness) are simply superb, just falling off the bone. The cabbages in the slaw and the cucumbers served on top are home pickled, light on the vinegar and delicately sweet. The bread pudding dessert is phenomenal, but with generous portions, perhaps get a helping to go? It's still fantastic the next day, as are the left-over ribs you'll surely be taking home with you.

A hallmark of a good place is staff longevity. Several of the servers have been there at least as long as I've been visiting,

I’ve known the owner for years but can say this is coming from an unbiased perspective. A few friends visit because they say the recipe has been untouched since their childhood. “The food selections are immense. I had the tavern chicken. Has to be one of the best pasta dishes I have had in a long time. The sauce was lightly spicy and not too sweet, the chicken and eggplant were cooked perfectly. Plenty of food, I took half home definitely enough for 2 people in this dish.
The staff is very nice and attentive. It was a little busy so I had to wait for a little at times, but I didn't mind. This place is very welcoming.“

Let's start from the beginning ,started off ok the waitress who seated us was nice took our coffe order, then it started to bad , our waiters came over with an attitude right away , came to our table and said with an attitude "you ready to order yet " no hi no name nothing but that. So I ordered the short stack chocolate pancakes and a order of hash my wife ordered the breakfast burrito,she said ok and walked away . Another waitress delivered our food and she was nice . The hash was homemade with awful water down potatoes and over cooked cornbeef drenched in grease and had no seasoning. Wish I took a picture but grabbed the waitress who dropped off the food and said We can't eat this and before I could say why ,she said "to greasy ?" And I replied to greasy . Then I took a bite into the worst and dry pancakes I have ever had . My wife burrito was ok but the homefries were awful again watered down and no seasoning. When the rude waitress came to ask us if everything was OK we told here what was wrong and she replied "I have never had these many complaints I guess people like different things " and then walked away and never came back till she dropped off the bill which she did take off the hash and pancakes because we didn't eat them . No one came to refill our coffee.. its also important to mention the rude waitress went up to another waitress and said to her I'm doing this to prove a point today because what she did was wrong . we will never be back and caution people not to waste there time ! Worst breakfast place I have ever went to in my 47yrs ! Want great breakfast in that area go to Hungry heaven!“

“Today, 3 of us had lunch at your restaurant. Our server Valerie was great and the food was delicious. We’ve just experienced a devastating fire at our apartment complex a little over a week ago and some of us lost everything. We’ve been staying in a nearby hotel as massive repairs are in the works. When Valerie came with our check, she asked if we wanted to buy a raffle ticket to which we explained our situation. As we were getting ready to pay our bill, Valerie came over and said our lunch was on them. We couldn’t believe it. Thank you Valerie and management of the 99 Restaurant in Westerly for your kindness to us!“

“From the minute you walk in you are greeted with smiles and made to feel like an old friend. The food is fantastic with healthy portions, made fresh and with lots of thought and care. As I understand it, Bravo is under new management by Ryan and Ryan and they are very involved, attentive and eager to please. Connected to Theater by the Sea, we went to dinner before all four shows this season and it was wonderful each time! The only negative thing I can say is that they are only open when the Theater is open… but I hear they are working on that!!!! A great find!“

“Went there for my grandsons birthday.where do I begin! The waitress was very attentive and sharp and didn't mess up not even one order even though we were fifteen people. The alcohol drinks were very generous. The appetizers which were mostly seafood was perfectly cooked and prepared. Our meals came out hot and well prepared and cooked amazing job not one screwups even though it would have been understandable because of our number. The owner and his lovely wife came to the table several times to see if everything was ok and if they could do anything to make us comfortable. They even treated us wit a few appetizers. Very pleasant and hospitable.the prices were very reasonable and the seafood was very fresh.i would recommend this place to anyone. God bless and help this young family with this business“
