I had the chicken cacciatore that was well prepared with mushrooms, red & yellow pepppers and onions. The restaurant seating and ambience leads to a nice evening. Our waitress did an excellent job. “We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! Not even sure where to start. It’s like a hidden gem, though it’s always busy. You almost can’t get further away from Galilee, but Giuseppe’s has the BEST calamari we’ve had. Always tender and tasty. Nothing fancy, just GOOD! The drinks are always good. Limited wine selection, but good wines!

They have the 2nd best bolognese I’ve ever had, and I’ve had A LOT! (The best was in Bologna during a trip to Italy last year). It’s better than ALL the RI restaurants we’ve been to.

The pizza is very solid and they always have great specials.

I almost don’t want to promote Giuseppe’s because I’m afraid I won’t be able to get in when I want to if too many people start coming!

“Ordered takeout from Wise Guys on Douglas Pike in Smithfield. We were greeted by a sassy and friendly Holly when picking up. The order was ready 10 minutes early and was piping hot. We had a NY Sytle half ham & half pepperoni, a Sicilian cheese, and a huge personal Knucky Thompson with Blue Cheese. Great sauce and crust. Glad we finally tried this place out and loved the customer service!!“

“Many delicious items to eat in or to take with you if you're on the run. Everything that I've selected so far I really enjoyed. The string bean salad is fantastic and of course I add their roasted red peppers to it to send my taste buds to the moon and back. I highly recommend their chicken franchise. The batter is excellent along with their lemon butter sauce. I should have gotten more to take home. Can't wait to go back and grab some more. That was the first time in selecting it. Their snail salad is excellent. The only thing, I wish they would slice the snails, instead of chunky pieces. I know that requires more time for preparation before serving. Also their hot sit-down dishes are very Italian and absolutely delicious. Stop by and give yourself a treat. You'll be glad you did.“

“We came on Saturday October 19th and our server was Faith. She was one of the kindest and most attentive server I have ever had. She knew what I needed before I even asked!
Food was great, and service was fast. But Faith really made the whole experience!

“Went for brunch with friends and we had a large party and our waitress who was also the bartender was amazing. She was attentive and quick and exceptional at her job. She went above and beyond. From putting us at an amazing corner table to giving us the option for individual checks and being attentive to all our needs. I can’t say enough great things about her! It really makes the difference when you go out to eat with a large party and you have amazing waitstaff. We didn’t wait long for drinks or our food. The mimosa flights were not only delicious but the presentation was also so nice. Spicy bloody Mary’s were delicious with plenty of different vodka choices which was nice. Food was hot and delicious! We will definitely be returning.“

“I was fortunate enough to get a job here in 1996, when I was a sophomore at Bryant. Not only is the food amazing, I've been longing for it for years, tried to recreate a couple dishes myself. These people were my family when I was away from mine. Been gone for 18 years and still miss all of it and them every day. went back last year for a tournament at Bryant with my daughter, they still have every Christmas card I ever sent them of my children over the years hanging on the wall. “Tumblesalts needs a brunch until 2 or 2:30 on Sunday and Saturday. Nobody wants lunch on Sundays at 1pm. The atmosphere and architecture are beautiful, the food is typically very tasty, but the service is sometimes hit or miss. We were promptly seated. Our server was very friendly and prompt, however, the female manager on duty, interrupts the servers while they are trying to get our order in—mid sentence, she needs manager re-training. It is rare that the staff seems better trained than the manager. She certainly needs some coaching. No music until 1:52pm and it seems to go in and out, so it made the dining experience slightly awkward. The food took a very long time to come out, about 45 minutes, and unfortunately the server never came to refill our beverages, during the wait. The food was delicious and I will definitely come back, but Tumblesalts certainly has a consistency problem with the managers. So much potential in such a beautiful restaurant.“
