My first time having their food I had no clue how good it was going to be, the flavor was incredible and the food was freshly prepared and properly cooked!! The place is clean, and the staff are very friendly and kind and hardworking people! They make all their food cooked to order and guarantee that it is freshly made! I’m so happy I took the chance to try this food because it was so tasty and delicious and I ate every bite! I got the Katsu Poke Bowl and let me tell you it’s delicious and a must try if you’ve never had Umami’s food before! Whatever the recipe for this chicken is it’s perfect! The chicken is perfectly cooked perfectly and lightly breaded and the food it comes with is healthy and clean and fresh! I was seriously impressed and I’m thinking about calling in an order again as I write this because the food was that good! Most Asian Cuisine places are just a run of the mill Chinese or Japanese food spot but not this place!! This place has a variety of different types of authentic homemade Asian dishes and they are all properly and generously portioned and cooked and taste delicious! Luis at the bar was awesome too. Great service, very attentive, and you can tell he really knows his stuff when it comes to making drinks. He gave us some great recommendations and made the whole experience even better.

“I love going to Jacky’s at Waterplace because it’s a short walk from work and a perfect spot if it’s sunny out to sit inside. I always get their Bean Curd (tofu) in General Tso’s sauce. It’s extremely well prepared, with a very thin batter and deep fried. I wish I knew how to make it at home. Their lunch special comes with miso soup or side salad (with very good carrot ginger dressing) and is served with either white, brown, or fried rice and broccoli. No substitutions are allowed but excellent lunch at $12 (2026).“

“Love Pokeworks Providence, I think I’ve gone every single week at least once since they’ve opened! I think I’ve tried every combination of the menu, and have several Favorites and several custom blended favorite! My only suggestion can I buy the dressings? I would love to use them at home for my own marinades and and not is nearly as special salads!!! Having the dressing would not stop me from coming to Pokeworks at least once a week, but I would feel as if I’m eating healthier at home, and I would love to have a little pokey works in my kitchen! Need someone to test market this idea on? I am the one !!!!!!“

“I freaking love Sushi Cafe. Out of the entire food court, this is the spot. The sushi is literally so delicious (at least the vegetarian ones- I always get sweet potato and avocado), better than some of the veggie sushi that you might get at a fancy restaurant. The family that runs it is the sweetest, the woman with the bob recognizes me and remembers my order every time. I will always go to Sushi Cafe and bring all my friends.“

“Excellent food & service. Pho soup was excellent! Beef & shrimp vermicelli was so good! We also had mint spring rolls & they were delicious with such a wonderful peanut sauce. Mango sticky rice was just so perfectly sweet enough & the mango was ripe to perfection. I had strawberry refresher drink & added my own vodka. It's BYOB. My husband had Jasmine tea & the serving display was just beautiful! I would highly recommend this restaurant. Food was amazing, restaurant is so cozy & beautiful and it's located in the heart of wonderful Pawtuxet Village in Cranston RI.“

Its not so salty like standard Chinese food. Always leaves my mouth feel like I've been open mouth swimming in the ocean, and bloated like a beached whale.

“First time here. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. No wait to get seated either! The chefs are behind the counter ready to make your sushi rolls! Apologies no photos I was too busy eating their delicious food! We ordered the Lavender Pop and Geisha punch and a Japanese old fashioned- the drinks were fresh and tasty! On to the food- Chix Yakisoba salad - delicious! SFYasai Itame salad also delicious! California roll - Tuna Crisp roll and Spider Shrimp roll and a Wayland roll. All were delicious and the fresh veggies made it! Their wasabi was excellent right to your brain - the way we like it!! Thank you for a great experience- we shall be back!“
