“I tried Sanjos Tacos and got a burrito bowl with rice, chicken, cilantro, lettuce, corn salsa, lime and salsa. It came with a drink for $16. The bowl was packed with flavor. Everything tasted fresh and the ingredients worked well together. The chicken was tender and the lime and salsa gave it a nice kick. Overall it was super tasty and filling. I’d definitely go back.“

“Found this place when looking for a Cinco de Mayo treat. Fast friendly service. Easy to navigate and order from website. Clean, comfortable, fun atmosphere. And some of the best Mom and Pop shop quesobirrias, tacos (soft and hard shell), homemade chips and taco salad I've had in a while! Reasonably priced. I will be back!“

“yummy! As I continue to wonder thru the RI Riviera (Pawtuxet Village), I am very happy to report that I have found another winner. Poco Loco Tacos has it all: an unpretentious menu containing all the standard issue Mexican favs and some creative ones, low, low prices, a chill counter guy, and a rustic vibe. I took a chance on a basic beef taco and was not disappointed. DELICIOUS flavor, and slightly hot like I like it. If you go, you'll find indoor seating and on-street parking. Recommended.“

“Fantastic place. Tacos are phenomenal (a bit juicy but in a good way). Has that traditional family recipe taste and dining atmosphere (its a small joint but comfortable and welcoming). I've been there a few times now and never been disappointed in any way. Its usually just one person running the whole operation but its still super fast. I can show up at lunch time and get out in 35 minutes or less. Pricing is very fair.“

“Pretty bomb tacos and you’re getting your moneys worth. The tacos are flavorful and beautifully stuffed with cilantro and onions. I've been here a couple times and each time I went the service is pretty slow so I would call ahead so you’re not waiting too long. The vibe is so cute though they have picnic tables outside and lights all around. Definitely give it a try and support a small business“

“Went to the Foxes Hill neighborhood in Providence to try out a Morroccan spot, but it ended up being closed. Luckily, right around the corner was Aguardente, which is a Guatamalen & Portuguese tapas restaurant. Love the interior decorations and warm welcoming vibe. We started with quejo de cabra, rellenitos, & the minha caiparinha. Then we had the batatas fritas, empanadas de pollos, polvo grelhado, & almondegas. Everything from the service to all of the dishes being seasoned perfectly and tasted amazing.“

“Cheryl and I dined with friends last night at Casa Azul Taqueria at 840 Allens Avenue in Providence. Although the place is small, with just three tables and primarily offering takeout, the food is fantastic, featuring great vegan options. We're definitely going back!“

“Finalmente!! Tacos muy deliciosos!! Haven't had any good Mexican food since leaving LA, CA. The Al Pastor is on point! Get the soft tacos! Will definitely be back to try more stuff. I had crunchy chicken taco, soft taco carnitas and pastor. All very good. Decent price for what you good. Not far off from food truck prices in Cali.“

“As a born & raised San Diegan trapped in Connecticut, I’m a snob when it comes to Mexican food. I happened to be in Johnston on business when I noticed California Taco Shop. Of course I turned my nose up & said “ha! That’s funny.” But like anybody on their high horse, I had to try it. I got the California burrito, 5 rolled tacos, & a horchata. The horchata was SPOT ON! I thought I was back home for a minute & not in Rhode Island. The California burrito was quite good, & quite stuffed. But not just with filler. With FLAVOR! The rolled tacos were a little shorter than back home, but the flavor more than made up for it (& again, just comparing it to what I grew up on I dug the decor & the music in the background. Reminded me of weekends at the National City Swap Meet. It’s about an hour-fifty from my house, but I’ll be back!“

“Stopped by on my lunch break and ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and wow, it was smackin’! The spice was just right, the chicken was super fresh and tasted real, not that processed stuff. The fries were crispy, golden, and so hot I literally burned my mouth trying to eat them because they were that good. I’ve been thinking about that meal all day! Definitely going back soon. I can’t decide if I want to try the lamb gyro, chopped cheese, or steak and cheese next they all sound amazing!

I found it a month ago, I have Dr's appt here biweekly across the street...I lived in San Diego for 3 ages miss the Mexican food the most, but this is the closest I've found.. and that saying a lot... if you've had it out west, you know what I mean.. this is the best I've found in the north east..“
