“Rarely am I blown away by a dining experience. We came for Sunday AYCE brunch. The food was fantastic and varied, with fresh coffee, sweet & unsweet tea, the works. Chef Kevin is a great conversationalist with some great stories and a legitimate cooking pedigree having worked for a Michelin-starred restaurant in London. The interior was aesthetically pleasing, clean, and organized. Let me reiterate, the food was EXCELLENT. I usually go on Google to give bad reviews, but this was a memorably exceptional meal and very affordably priced for AYCE. I'll add that the chicken pot pie was great, and I'm very picky with this dish as I feel I've mastered it. The chicken was nicely shredded, the gravy was made properly with cream, and the pastry was just perfect.“

“Best strawberry matcha I’ve had (authentic matcha whisked ?)we also got an iced vanilla latte w/oatmilk, iced chai which was sooooo good and the goat cheese cheesecake. The barista (girl) was so nice and welcoming! They share their space with a restaurant so don’t be confused upon walking in, their bakery items look amazing and such a unique little spot. I’ll definitely be stopping by again on my road trips up north because it’s that good! 10/10✨✨✨✨✨

“While visiting my friend for Christmas in the Columbia area, she got a desire for gingerbread cookies. After a Google search we decided on Kudzu bakery despite it being a considerable distance away. We called first to verify they had gingerbread cookies on hand and they kindly offered to put some aside for us. We browsed the market when we got there and it is a very lovely store. The staff was also friendly. We bought 8 cookies and it was $22. When we got home we were shocked to find small, cute, but identical, mass produced cookies. They were dry, crunchy, and tasteless. They were not made on site and Kudzu Bakery should be ashamed of selling such a product. $2.50 a cookie! I wouldn't pay $2.50 a box for them in a major grocery market. This was my first and last visit.

ADDENDUM: I did take the owner up on her offer of a refund. They cheerfully complied and I'm very happy about it.“

“I really like Crumbl as far as the food is concerned. However, my last visit wasn’t as pleasant. The white boy in there who called my name for my order was very rude and unprofessional. I’ve been there a few times, so I am aware of how the pick up process goes. He called my name, I then said “right here” and proceeded to the pick up counter. Before I got there, he slides my cookies on the counter and walks off. He didn’t open it, as he did every customer before me, to ensure my order was even correct. But it’s fine, I won’t be returning. I’m big on customer service, especially if I’m paying over $20 for cookies, service me properly, or lose my services!“

I came by just after the breakfast crush and was able to place my order to go. The staff was efficient and the owner made sure my order was correct. “This little bakery is AMAZING!!! For those who remember The Copper Door of years gone by Crust Bakehouse occupies a space on the premises. Walking in the door and seeing the eclectic ambience of the bakery evokes memories of "Here are friends and all is well." You just have to go and see for yourself! We had a variety of breads, scones, brownies, baggettes, croissants, etc. Everything was perfect. The pecan tart was not too sweet like so many pecan tarts or pies. It had whole pecans and a light delicate crust. The whole grain bread was light and airy and sliced perfectly. The miso blondie with walnuts was cooked and then a light coating of chocolate was spread around the edges. Need I say more? We had 3 different scones . . chocolate chip scone, 3 cheese scone and sausage & cheese scone. This was the first time I have ever eaten a scone that was not hard and dry! They were loaded with flavor and made my morning coffee so much better. And yes. . . I had put them in the frig. for the next morning. They microwaved just fine and were flaky and delectable. Can you tell I am a big fan of this bakery? Oh . . let.s don't forget Baker Zack who is the essence here. I could go on but you just have to find your own favorite. Thank you Baker Zack!“

All have generous amounts of the amazing cream cheese icing which we absolutely love even though the cakes themselves are super moist and delicious enough to eat without icing. So when it came time for our daughter's baptism this morning when we found out the Gourmet Shop offered a catering menu it became a no brainer for us. The catering options on a per head basis for 12 people were an incredible value. Our guests, many of whom do not live downtown now want to make it a point to visit the restaurant.
