“We drove from Charleston SC to try this place and let me tell you they did not disappoint! The pork rinds came to the table still popping. The brisket, ribs and pork literally melt in your mouth. The fried pork chops were the best I have had in my lifetime and the sides like candied cornbread, Lima beans, Mac and cheese, dirty rice and okra were absolutely on point! Don’t forget to try the brisket Mac and cheese! 🤯 Amazing southern bbq! We will be back!“

“I eat their weekly. Grew up eating Lizards Thicket. Started out at the one that used to be by the airport. I’ve eaten at all of them. They are all good. Love the breakfast. Love the specials. Love the staff. Would recommend anybody that has had a bad Experience. Don’t let that one time experience stop you from enjoying a lot more of good experiences there. Highly recommend them.!!!!👍“

“This was my second time visiting this establishment. The first time everything was great!!! It was so good that I ended up ordering a plate for the next day. Well I went in yesterday and ordered oxtails, rice and gravy, green beans, and mac-n-cheese. I also ordered a piece of red velvet cake! ($42.00 which included the tip I left). Yes, it was a bit pricey but I just knew it was going to be worth the cost. It wasn’t!!! Everything was waaaaayyyy too salty!!!! The cake was not nearly as good as it was the first time I had it! I ended up throwing away half of my plate and mostly all of the cake. This is not to say that I will not be back, but it will be a while before I return. I will give them another chance because I believe in supporting our own.“

“Stopped by on a whim and was bowled over by the food and the folks working there. I had the fried pork chop, yams, potato salad and Mac n cheese. All of it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The entire staff was friendly and funny. A perfect spot for soul food. Extra credit for some great lemonade in the biggest cup I’ve ever seen. Get some time to go by and get a great meal.“

“Yesterday was my first time going and I was not disappointed. They offer a variety of combos just in case you’re undecided. I had the hotdog, 5 piece wing and fry combo. As a complimentary side you get an egg roll and I chose the lickin. They were sold out of the cheeseburger egg roll. If you’re on that side of time please stop by.“
