“After reading the reviews we had to visit. I had the chicken salad. We’re from England and the chicken was shredded and in some kind of sauce, almost like a coronation chicken, not what I expected but nice enough. Service was rushed, I felt like this lunchtime the waiter was just trying to serve as many people as he could. As he cleared our plates he told us he was bringing the bill. Not quite the leisurely experience we are used to but glad we visited non the less.“

“I Recently moved to North Augusta. A friend from Savannah called to tell me about McNeelys Place. What a treat my first visit was. Homemade Chicken Pie, collard greens, wonderful Mac and cheese and good cornbread. Even the tea was great. I felt like I had stepped back in time and was eating at my Mothers table. The dining rooms were attractive and spotlessly clean. The staff was friendly and efficient. We met the cook who was delightful in addition to being talented. “The loaded tots were my favorite of the things we tried. Very good! I had a pineapple mango cider that was great as well. We were a little disappointed because they were out of hamburger patties. Ufortunately we could not try the burger we really wanted. We will definitely go back again though. It does get pretty crowded. Would have loved to sit outside on the patio but we took the next available table inside. It didn't appear that they asign a waiter or waitress to certain tables. You just get checked on and order from who ever is coming by. Seemed a little odd but we got everything we needed and our check was right. Will definitely go back again.“

“Tuesday night was my first time going and it was a great experience! When we had gotten there, they had just gotten slammed. Every seat was busy we went into order and we were greeted and taken care of with no long wait. They were short staff but the girls working the front were handling it so well all while positive. They let people know it may be a wait but everyone seemed ok because of how well the girls handled it. The food came out rather quick for what i expected. Everything was hot and delicious! I was very impressed and never felt we were getting poor service or food. Can’t really to come back and try again. Again, bravo to the girls waiting and who ever was making the food.“

“The steakhouse bacon burger was amazing!!! The fries A1 the wings were crispy I had the honey lemon pepper omg the best wings I’ve tasted so far in Augusta!!! Will definitely come back and will probably be right back the same day I’m a small girl but that’s the first time I ate my whole burger it was that good!! “Our first time to visit ND we will go back. The food was delicious, the staff that took our orders were great and the guy that kept us happy was terrific. He gave us the best table service I can remember in a long time ! Wish I had remembered his name. He had made chocolate chip cookies that morning and gave one to my two greatgrandsons to have after they ate their food, which they did. He was very kind and did such a good job. I recommend this place if you are new to the area or going through Augusta ! I give it a 10 !“

“I visited The Patio for the first time yesterday, and I was truly impressed! From the moment I walked in, Toni made me feel so welcome. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful behind the bar. She took the time to explain the menu and drink specials in detail, which I really appreciated.

The food was excellent—I had the cheeseburger, and it was surprisingly flavorful in every bite. The drinks? Amazing! Not only did they taste great, but they were also beautifully presented. What shocked me the most was finding out it was Toni’s first day behind the bar—she’s usually in the kitchen! You never would’ve guessed. She crafted each drink with a perfect balance of alcohol and mixers like a seasoned pro.

“I don’t know what was in the “Belly Juice” but I love it. It tasted so good! Honestly, this my first time trying them, as I happen to come across their page on Facebook. . I got a plate that I saw on their page, the wings, macaroni, and collard greens w/ cornbread and everything was truly delicious. The collard greens was spicy but I’m from the Caribbean so it didn’t phase me. I love everything about the taste. Wouldn’t mind trying it again. The location is sort of the in the cut type of way; but once you walk into the establishment, you’ll feel at home. . 🤎“

I ordered 2 lemon drops to drink, and the bartender made them to my specifications with lemonade and simple syrup to make sure they were extra sweet. I ordered desserts to go, but they have not been sampled yet. Definitely recommend reservations.“

They had specials on a board featuring several options including a hot bar and many side choices. I chose the Sweet Heart Shrimp Wrap Special with Mac N Cheese and my Husband chose the Chilli Cheeseburger Special with Mac N Cheese. The food was DELICIOUS!!!! Also got the coffee which was so good as well (good coffee is so hard to find in restaurants!) We got red velvet cake to go which was also fabulous as well! We will for sure be back again!“

Everything was delicious! Someone was always checking in on us which I appreciate. The food was really good. The cheesecake was the best part. It was really rich with a HUGE marshmallow topping. It definitely reminded me of the Cheesecake Factory. Their Christmas decorations were a nice touch as well. I give it 4/5 stars. The only disappointment to knock down a star was that some of the games were broken and most of the balls were missing from the hippo game. That was one of our favorites. “I recently went through a total Laryngectomy Surgical procedure. Before I totally lost my voice due to throat cancer, my brother treated me to a night out. We started the night at Joe's, walked Broad St., shot some pool at another establishment, and ended up back at Joe's as intended. Joe's was the best part of the night! We had the best conversations there! Some of my last conversations with him. Normally, the draft beer & juke box being down would be negatives!!! But, for that night, other than the bartender, we were the only 2 customers in the place! I t created an intimate and wonderful evening for me & my brother! We still got our drinks, talked the night away, & had a magical night! Here it is, over 2 weeks later, after 12 hours worth of surgery, 1 & 1/2 days in i.c.u., plus 7 days in the hospital... Never able to speak again... I'll never forget that night at Joe's Underground! Thank u!“
