“Crossroads Cafe in Beech Island, SC ... this place is just a treasure! They open at 5:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Closed on Saturday and Sunday. The breakfast menu has all the favorites! The bacon is a nice thick cut, perfectly cooked. And, oh my, the hashbrowns are just fabulous, serving size is plentiful enough to share! They use REAL cheese! Better than anything you ever had at the awful waffle. Biscuits weren't ready, so I am unable to comment. Prices are actually less expensive, as well! So, all you Savannah River Site people, slow your butts down, and pay this place a visit! For lunch, they are a meat and two veggies. Their fried chicken, country fried steak are quite good (better than WifeSaver), their cornbread is a little dry for my tastes. The veggies are canned; however, they will do. I sure do wish they were fresh, especially the mashed taters. The atmosphere is full of jokes, and laughter as the locals enjoy their meal and each other's company. “I Recently moved to North Augusta. A friend from Savannah called to tell me about McNeelys Place. What a treat my first visit was. Homemade Chicken Pie, collard greens, wonderful Mac and cheese and good cornbread. Even the tea was great. I felt like I had stepped back in time and was eating at my Mothers table. The dining rooms were attractive and spotlessly clean. The staff was friendly and efficient. We met the cook who was delightful in addition to being talented. I brought home a box of delicious vegetables. Already planning my next visit.“

“We absolutely LOVE the Arsenal Taproom. My crew goes once per week and we are always happy with the experience. The food is delicious, the drink selections are wonderful, and the staff is extraordinary.

“We absolutely adore Sno-Cap! My husband and I have been going there since we were children. The food is always incredible, waitresses are always kind, and it has the perfect vibes all around. It just feels like home!

Vegetarian options: They have wonderfully fresh salads and sandwiches that can be vegetarian.

Kid-friendliness: Extremely kid-friendly! They have delicious ice cream and classic floats for the kiddos. They also have a nice, comfortable outdoor seating area.“

“I ordered catering for the 4th of July wknd. Everyone I dealt with was prompt and respectful. We ordered several racks of ribs to feed 45-50 ppl. They were AMAZING! ALL of my family & guests raved about them. The gentleman who delivered them was so sweet. They came hot and ready. I kept them warm until we were ready to eat and the quality didn't diminish. “I visited The Patio for the first time yesterday, and I was truly impressed! From the moment I walked in, Toni made me feel so welcome. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful behind the bar. She took the time to explain the menu and drink specials in detail, which I really appreciated.

The food was excellent—I had the cheeseburger, and it was surprisingly flavorful in every bite. The drinks? Amazing! Not only did they taste great, but they were also beautifully presented. What shocked me the most was finding out it was Toni’s first day behind the bar—she’s usually in the kitchen! You never would’ve guessed. She crafted each drink with a perfect balance of alcohol and mixers like a seasoned pro.

“I don’t know what was in the “Belly Juice” but I love it. It tasted so good! Honestly, this my first time trying them, as I happen to come across their page on Facebook. . I got a plate that I saw on their page, the wings, macaroni, and collard greens w/ cornbread and everything was truly delicious. The collard greens was spicy but I’m from the Caribbean so it didn’t phase me. I love everything about the taste. Wouldn’t mind trying it again. The location is sort of the in the cut type of way; but once you walk into the establishment, you’ll feel at home. . 🤎“

“Went to visit Papa's Kitchen for the first time today! It was a cute little "hole in the wall" restaurant, which is something I absolutely LOVE! They had specials on a board featuring several options including a hot bar and many side choices. I chose the Sweet Heart Shrimp Wrap Special with Mac N Cheese and my Husband chose the Chilli Cheeseburger Special with Mac N Cheese. The food was DELICIOUS!!!! Also got the coffee which was so good as well (good coffee is so hard to find in restaurants!) We got red velvet cake to go which was also fabulous as well! We will for sure be back again!“

It definitely reminded me of the Cheesecake Factory. Their Christmas decorations were a nice touch as well. I give it 4/5 stars. Food was pretty good and I say that because the fried skin was falling off the chicken patty so it wasn’t “crispy” like it should have been and when I said no veggies on the tacos I thought I’d at least get cheese with the chicken, but nonetheless they still tasted good.“

“I recently went through a total Laryngectomy Surgical procedure. Before I totally lost my voice due to throat cancer, my brother treated me to a night out. We started the night at Joe's, walked Broad St., shot some pool at another establishment, and ended up back at Joe's as intended. Joe's was the best part of the night! We had the best conversations there! Some of my last conversations with him. Normally, the draft beer & juke box being down would be negatives!!! But, for that night, other than the bartender, we were the only 2 customers in the place! I t created an intimate and wonderful evening for me & my brother! We still got our drinks, talked the night away, & had a magical night! Here it is, over 2 weeks later, after 12 hours worth of surgery, 1 & 1/2 days in i.c.u., plus 7 days in the hospital... “I ordered the biscuits and gravy (actually it was a single biscuit) and the advertised strawberry waffle with whipped cream on top. The best part of the meal was the biscuit and gravy. It was better than what I’ve had at most restaurants, but the biscuits and gravy at Pilot Flying J is still significantly better. For the strawberry waffle, I thought it was a little too mushy (I prefer a more spongy waffle). And the whipped cream wasn’t really cream, but rather a whipped topping that melts into a slightly milky but almost translucent liquid. The truth is, it wasn’t a bad meal. I’ve had much worse. But I’ve also had much better. I had expected top quality food when I walked in, and I was a little disappointed.The service and atmosphere was exactly what I had expected. Based on the service and atmosphere I would return to this Waffle House. But I would perhaps explore something else on the menu.“
