“Since moving to GA from a major metropolitan city a few years ago, one of the biggest adjustments for me was the options for amazing desserts. This girl has a sweet tooth like no other. I stopped by the whipped creamery yesterday and picked up a few things to try. The coconut cake , her world famous cinnamon roll ( yes world famous, I say that because if it is not famous already it needs to be!) And the one I was waiting for which was her beautiful Ube Cake! Let me tell you not one of them disappointed. Both cakes were spot on and soooo good. Perfect amount of sweet without being too sweet. The ube was of course my favorite but both were top notch. That cinnamon roll should not be legal and we will just leave it there wowza! Fantastic job and highly recommend. The best part is they have soo many options so if cake isn’t your thing the options were very impressive. I can’t wait to see what we will try next ❤️🍑”

“I had the pleasure of having coffee in this locally owned coffee shop with a friend. This place came highly recommended when I asked around! The atmosphere is welcoming to all and peaceful inside and outside. you have the option of sitting inside or outside, which is great on a beautiful day. The coffee is fresh and as bold or as soft (many options of flavors additives) as you like. They have a multitude of ways to have your coffee and the Baristas are friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. “What a great find! Came through Augusta on a day trip, and happened across Farmhaus. Good food that is locally sourced, and great service. The young lady who took our order was great- she seemed happy to be there and was very helpful with the menu. The food was tasty and prompt. The beer selection looked awesome, only wish I could’ve enjoyed one with the burger, but I had a long drive ahead. If your considering trying Farmhaus, go! They remember your drink, your story, and probably your cousin’s favorite bourbon too. When they see me pull up, the glass is already frosted and waiting, like divine intervention but with better ice cubes. The management runs the place like a symphony, every plate, every pour, every smile hits its note just right. And the waitstaff? They don’t just work with each other, they move like a well-rehearsed dance troupe of kindness and efficiency. They treat everyone like family, the good kind of family, not the one that argues over Monopoly at Thanksgiving. Finch and Fifth isn’t just a restaurant. It’s an experience. It’s where the food has soul, the drinks have personality, and the people have heart. So if you ever find yourself in Augusta wondering where to eat, do yourself a favor. Go to Finch and Fifth. Order the kimchi wings or the poutine. Let Jesus or JC hand you your drink. And when you leave, you’ll understand why the locals don’t just eat there, they belong there.”

I’ve visited Savannah River Brewing Company countless times, but never ordered food until now, and WOW, have I been missing out! I LOVE that Savannah River Kitchen offers a curated menu with recommended beer pairings. Such a smart partnership!

The Korean chicken sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly balanced and an explosion of flavor! My friend’s smashburger with bacon jam? That FIRST BITE?! Oh. My. GOD. Phenomenal!

I also love the family-friendly and dog-friendly atmosphere. In my experience, the best breweries across different cities and states embrace that environment! They host several events throughout the week, all advertised in advance, so naturally, it can get crowded. Complaining about crowds or dogs at an openly pet-friendly brewery seems a bit silly when that information is readily available beforehand.

And to anyone bothered by bartenders explaining the beers, they’re describing the flavor profiles and tasting notes of beers they BREW themselves! That’s part of the craft brewery experience, and something I’ve encountered at excellent breweries all over the country. It’s hospitality, not an insult to your beer knowledge!
