“Just visited DW Lakeside for the first time and it definitely will be a new favorite. Mussels appetizer was better than I've had in Charleston. Served with plenty of black kalamata olives and warm bread. Fish bites were not too breaded. High praise for the chef. Our server, Grant, was attentive. Quick service. Great location on Lake Murray clubhouse. One encouraging note...they were out of several condiments, but the tasty food made up for it. Reasonably priced drinks. My only disappointment was that children and guests at the bar did not wear masks nor did they wear masks when transitioning from bar to dining room. Otherwise, a most wonderful experience“

“My husband and I ate at Higher Ground for the first time Monday. We had the fried mushrooms for an appetizer and I had the pimento cheeseburger and he had the bacon double cheeseburger and seasoned fries. The food was amazing and delicious. The waitress was attentive had a sweet personality and gave great suggestions on what to order. It was a very cool temperature inside to eat on a hot day! I highly reccomend this place! Very clean inside! We will be back!“

“Are you driving I-26? Looking for a good meal between Charleston and Greenville? I recommend this place! Great food, great prime rib. Waitress was excellent and it’s a surprisingly good place to take kids. Really good house Cabernet too.“

“Just wanted to thank the owner for looking out for my wife and daughter after their car broke down in the parking lot on Saturday. (Red Kia Soul) He came out to ask if they were ok and even offered them each a shot as the ladies were a little upset. I got to them about 45 minutes later and the girls had ordered a couple of drinks and cheese curds, which they said were great! We got the car to Midas in Lexington and will see what the verdict is on the car. Again, thank you to the owner for looking out for my family!“
