A rare, authentic, unassuming space in Charleston. The owners are talented bakers, and wonderful to talk to. Their sweet dog is like a cartoon character with his little red scarf. This authentic quaint French bakery with peaceful outdoor seating has freshly baked croissants, pastries, and French imported jams, mustard, etc. The baker kindly allowed us to take a short video of the interior, as long as he was not in it. The cinnamon pastry was buttery and delicious but a bit heavy. They did not have beignets. This authentic French bakery is the real deal! As soon as I walked in this bakery I felt like I was transported into another country. The pastries are truly a work of art! The almond croissant was hands down the best pastry I have ever had… so good I’m still left day dreaming about it. The Le Chambertin bakery was one of the top highlights of our trip to Charleston!
