Matador Charleston Reviews
Had an absolutely amazing dinner at Matador! Delicious food and drink and we were SO lucky to be served by Sam! He told us incredible stories and gave us tons of tips of what to do! He absolutely made our dining experience something extra and I hope his manager knows what gem he is!
I’ve seen your posts on Instagram and knew when we were in Charleston, we had to eat here. The atmosphere, service, drinks and food were amazing! The salsa is very fresh, along with all of the other food ingredients. Our party of six had the fish tacos, grilled chicken tacos, ribeye tacos, carne asada fajitas and chicken fajitas. Matador Charleston offers a fantastic dining experience with a spectacular ambiance and crafted decor. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has fantastic food deals, making it a great spot for a late dinner, especially after 10 PM. The food is excellent, with standout dishes like grilled stuffed jalapeños, Mexican Street Corn, and chicken tacos, with generous portion sizes. The nachos are piled high with the best tasting chicken, and the salsa, including the incredible habanero salsa, is rated 10 out of 10 for those who enjoy heat and spice. The cooked salsa, with roasted peppers and tomatoes, adds great flavor. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with friendly staff creating a nice vibe. The extensive tequila selection and full bar include specialty margaritas such as blood orange and tamarind-ginger, which are highly recommended. Happy hour offers discounted tacos and grande nachos, perfect for a relaxed evening. While the food can be a bit pricey, the overall experience is a fresh treat for Charleston, with excellent service and a lively atmosphere.
